I was told that if you're package includes the champagne toast, which the royal package does, then you DO get the open bar at cocktail hour without any additional fees and you would only pay $5 per each additional person after 30 people..... -

Are you getting married at GCR? I was told that they don't allow outside food therefore I couldn't have anyone else do my cake. .....

I booked Vallejo Photography & Video! They have a page on FB or you call look them up online. I don't think you can beat their prices and I think their pics look great.....good luck!

@Nina0........I appreciate your input, however, I don't think you understand my take on it! I'm not doing it for the atmosphere,If I was I wouldn't have gone through months of marriage preperation through the church.... I'm a cradle catholic and I've never seen the lazo and coins done before in my life. I'm getting married in the chapel through GOD and it just happens to be in Mexico. These traditions should be an option since we are in Mexico but It shouldn't be the only way it's done. I have no problem asking if I can opt out, I understand that the chapel is in their country but it's a catholic chapel before a mexican chapel. I'm not ingorant on their traditions, I have researched what it all means and even though I think it's beautiful, it's now what I would like done. With that being said, I will do it if there is no option but I'm just asking for a regular Catholic ceremony. @Catish11.....When I initially asked about everything needed for the ceremony, I was told that there are plenty of places that do sell them close by. Do you know if they do unity candles?

Have you spoken to the church at all? I was told to contact the church(not the resort) to make sure that they had received all our paperwork and Sandra who works for the church was the one that told me that it had to be done! I mean don't get me wrong, I don't want to do it but I want to make sure that I'm prepared. Lol. I guess I'll wait till you get back and go from there =) Good luck with your wedding! Can't wait to hear about it....

Also does anybody know if you have to do all the mexican traditions if you're getting married at the chapel? Wondering if anyone got away with not doing the whole lazo and coins?

Wow! It sucks that you're wedding is this Saturday and instead of enjoying the whole process you're stressing about their rules and regulations! Ugh, I totally feel for you, myself and all the other brides that are feeling the same way. I totally agree with you on everything! I can't believe that they're charging you a fee of $280.00 for your friends to take the pics when I'm sure you're already having to pay for them to be at the wedding and for their room. I've had a hard time with dealing with them as well, since I can't justify how they try and add a fee for every single thing...... I'm also planning on doing welcome bags. Why are they charging you $5 per room? Can't they just give them out when they check-in and you save the $5? Regardless of all the stress, I hope you're able to enjoy every single moment of your wedding and that you have an amazing time! Can't wait to hear about it and see your pictures.

I just finished fighting this same battle! I thought it was per company as well..... Later, I was told that it was per service not per company. Anyways a few times of going back and forth and they are allowing me to only pay one $350.00 fee for both my videographer and photographer.

We're getting married at the chapel at 5pm, having the cocktail hr at 6pm and the private reception at 7 on the terrace as well......I'm hoping they have more then one terrace! LOL....Definitely taking you up on the drink at the beach Who's your WC? Also are you doing a private or semi private reception? That might make the difference w the terrace. Idk
