Yes, I forgot that part. Thank you for mentioning it. The bows were $40 set-up fee and I received a credit for $150 because the photographer
( included within the Divine Package) was unavailable to shoot my welcome dinner vs wedding due to the abundance of weddings. However, he still came for 30 min and my final exact total was 3349 w/tax

I just returned from my wedding, review to follow. I would recommended the Pergola. I changed from the fountain at the last minute because it is right by the door, however it is a beautiful location.

excusetheme! Like I've mention in another thread, this is what we tell people when explaining that we are foregoing or shortening traditional events such as the cocktail hour (credit will be used toward reception dinner) and a 4 hour reception. Thanks EJ2013Thank you!!! I am thinking about your 4 hour reception, I like that idea!!!! Im just trying to figure out what to do with the people between that in between time while we take pictures.

It was cheaper, but most importantly is "forced" people to give gifts prior to us leaving and we got about 1500! I was more stressed about the reception more than I have wedding, but I am happy I did it first vs waiting until after the wedding.

Ok, well your explanation(steps taken) help a lot. Thank you

For the brochure, I just kind of winged it. I knew I wanted our Welcome Cocktails the night before at 8pm so I just put it in there and everyone met there at 8pm. For the wedding day, I told everyone to arrive at the Pergola at 4:45 but everyone actually meets in the lobby, which I did not know. But everyone figured it out and it all worked out perfectly
Here's the ceremony program:
And the brochure we mailed about 25 days before the wedding:
Shannon can you post your templates, if possible?!!! I really like them.

Once you send out the invitation, your family and friends will decide if they are attending or not. Your wedding is an opportunity for people to see to your wedding, but to use it as a vacation. I hope this helps, it surely helped me and I am 11 days from having the wedding of my dreams w/25 guests attending.
I also forgot to mention. My fiancee and I had a sendoff party prior to leaving for the wedding to appease those who are not attending the wedding in Cancun. It was a blast!!

Anyone have some good advice on how to make everyone happy without spending a fortune! I feel like I'm torn between doing what me and my FI want...or having my family there.

We put this in our brochure, something along the lines of "After dinner, join us in the lobby bar for some cocktails and to mingle and get to know each other." Something like that.. I wanted to be sure to put the "after dinner" line so people knew there would be no food. We also took this opportunity to hand out our welcome bags.
I didn't have any activities organized for our guest. Everyone did their own thing during the day. A bunch of us were at the pool often and did do Zumba and water arobeics, wine tasting too. All the activities are listed in the Sun Dial they give you daily. They always have something going on at the pool. Water polo, water balloon fights, beach volleyball, pool volleyball. There's always something!
THANK YOU!

Shannon,
Did you have a welcome dinner? If so were you able to select the buffet location?
Were there activities that you and your guests participated in? I believe I saw an excerpt referring to cigar rolling, zumba and other day classes. Is this true?
-
Thank you for the clarification. I did not want to incur that expense!

Previous Brides can you tell me how long the ride was from the airport to the NJ?
Also, were you able to purchase excursions from the resort(concierge) or did you use an outside site; like viator.com. I would like to have a raffle during my welcome for my guests and purchase jet skiing, snokeling outings.

Yes, Deisy told me that it was a 150 charge for the sound system and you can only use it for the ceremony. If you opt to use for the reception there is an additional charge of 150. I haven't had my wedding yet,17 days in counting , but this is what I was told.

It was soooooooo hot, we all made the best of it but if I could go back in time I would have scheduled the Bamboo Room... If your having your wedding in June, do not choose castaways! Other than that, I would not have changed a thing!!
congrats!!! Anxiously awaiting your review!

I know its been awhile but I was wondering you still have your template you could send my way?!!! Its so pretty!!! Thank you in advance. [email protected]

Also I was wondering if the photography package in the Eternity package will be enough or should I get more?
I will also be getting married by the Fountain in 29 days!!!! I will post pics and give you my review after the wedding!!! I hope I made the right choice as well, but from the pictures I saw it was beautiful place to have the ceremony. I am nervous about the privacy..... ***fingers crossed***

Thank you so much for your prompt response! Lastly, NJ did they "shuttle" buses take you into town or was catching a cab fairly easy?
-
Also, did anyone or their guest rent vehicles? What it or cumbersome process and did anyone prefer to use a taxi?
