  1. I had a friend recommend the Lose It app, and it works wonders! You enter your height weight, goal weight and then it gives you the option to lose up to two pounds a week. It tells you how long it will take you to get to your goal, and then gives you a calorie allowance. If you follow this, you can lose the weight without exercise! Easily tracks your daily food and you can input any exercise. You get extra calories to eat when you exercise! The first week I did this I lost 5 pounds, and I worked out TWICE. Seriously, this thing has been a god send!

  2. I've found that brushing my teeth helps with so much! I brush after each meal. That stops the cravings for dessert, etc. bc I HATE the taste of stuff on toothpaste.

I swear I looked like Pikachu. I went to PR with my FI and saw the pics of me in a bikini and wanted to cry. So I changed my outlook on food and it helps a lot. Yes its hard but trust me it only takes two weeks of you doing something regularly before it becomes second nature. I work out 6 days a week and I love love love Pilates. Ladies Pilates will firm you up so fast and you not even realize it. It works all of your muscles even ones you don't know you have. If you vcan do reformer classes. Also invest in a 9in plate. I swear it helps with the portion control. By the way I'm at 123lbs yaay me!!!

And just in case you're wondering yes I still drink wine and have dessert... Just in moderation. You will see after a while your body won't crave it as much.

One more trick that I found that works, Brush your teeth at night before you watch TV, for some reason it takes away that craving that you get!

Break that down week by week and you'd have to burn 17,500 calories per week for the next 3 weeks. Not sure what your schedule looks like...if you can work out every day for the next 21 days...if you could, you would need to burn 2,500 calories each day. I hope you understand where I'm going with this. I'm not trying to bring you down but trying to help you realize how unreasonable your goal is. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 per week...so in 3 weeks you should have a goal to lose between 3 and 6 lbs.

Not sure what your build or weight is currently but there are many sites out there that offer "calorie counters" where you type in your weight & the amount of time (in minutes) you are going to do, or have done, a particular exercise/workout for and it calculates several different activities you could do for that amount of time, telling you how many calories you will likely burn.

For example, I am 120lbs & for the time I entered 30 min. since that's really all the time I've got to spare. If I would want to burn 2,500 calories in one day (like you would need to if you want to lose 15 lbs within 3 weeks) I would have to...use the stationary rowing machine at a moderate rate for 30 min, do water aerobics for 30 min, ride a stationary bike vigorously for 30 min, use the stair step machine for 30 min, lift free weights vigorously for 30 min, do step areobics at a high impact level for 30 min, run for 1 hour @ 10mph (that's running 6 min miles for an hour straight), rollerblade for 30 min, and perform general housecleaning duties for 30 min.

That is 5 hours devoted to non-stop vigorous exercising. Maybe if you don't have a job & kids that could be possible but other than that I think your weightloss goal is impossible. Sorry, I know this wasn't the kind of response you were looking for but I am just trying to give you my honest advice. Good luck with everything!

  4. Okay, we are planning to leave our reception by sailboat. However, I have a delimma. The wedding package includes the sailboat being there from 7:30pm-11, then us having a hour and a half cruise. Want to take pictures with the boat, but I'm worried we won't have enough daylight to do such, and we would have to leave the reception for it! (Reception starts at 6:30, while we are taking photos after the ceremony). We were planning on entering the ceremony at 7. There are a few options:

    1. We go do our first dance,father/daughter dance, cake cuttings, and then go outside to take photos with the sailboat (and pray there is enough light!)

    2. I can pay an extra $100 and have it there at 5:30. I know its only $100, but it seems everything is adding up so quickly!

    What would you do?

  5. I know how you feel!

I echo the comments on Jillian Michaels...she is a tough woman! But the workouts are amazing. Good luck everyone!
