I was suppose to be leaving in 2 days..I had to cancel the entire wedding 2 weekends ago as my fiance and I have split due to him.. But I will still be going to Cancun from Thurs-Sun as a getaway to clear my head trip. I hope all you ladies have fabulous weddings and I cannot wait to see pictures!!

..so a little venting... My fiancé and I are staying at the moon palace for 7 days then going to Le blanc for 5 days after the wedding for our honeymoon. Now I've been told from the beginning that all these days would count torwards our group nights and when it came down to my final PO they didn't want to include Le blanc which we are paying a lot money for. Did anyone else have this issue with transferring to another resort??

Another question how are the bar scenes at night? My group really wants to do a "bar Crawl" inside the resort and I don't know if its mostly restaurant bars or not? I know the disco is now open which I'm sooo happy about but what are the other bars like?

Besides this just finishing up welcome bags and getting ready to start packing. My bridal party threw me a surprise wedding shower and it was amazing!! I even had a white dress on( I thought I was going to a 90th Birthday Brunch) lol!

if a couple stays for 7 nights..it counts as 7 nights, not 14 just to clearify. so if there are 5 couples staying in 5 rooms for 7 nights each it is only 35 nights. to qualify for unlimited events read page 23 of this

Unless you qualify for "unlimited events" you have to pay for the reception..its $50/person. We were just shy of that so we ended up paying for our reception but received the free cocktail hour

This cant be the 'dinner reservation for 30 people' so when does this dinner take place and do we have to pay extra for food during the reception? there's no mention of having to pay extra for food during your reception so what are my options? i doubt people are left to starve or have to go to the nearest restaurant and walk back to the reception lol (i hope not anyway).

For those worrying about the construction in sunrise, it's basically done. We got here on 10/29 and it was a mess! The resort lost power all day on Tuesday and had no hot water...thankfully it came back at night. We stayed at nizuc to avoid the construction. We went back over to sunrise for the club Thursday night and the lobby transformed- no more construction! It was night and day!

I really hope you future brides have a better experience than I did!

I knew going into a destination wedding that not everyone would be able to come because of money, kids, etc.... totally understandable! But I guess there were some people who i just did NOT expect to back out on our wedding day. Found out this past week that my fiances TWO sisters have decided they will not be coming. ohh i feel your pain..vent on girl!! Ive had people including my own father who wont come..and my brother who i gave a year to save and such, is still not coming!! most of my guests didnt book until the 3-5 month mark!

Just got my onsite coordinator Ma. Teresa Briseño..has anyone worked with her yet??  Looks like they have alot more coordinators on site these days!!
