  2. My fiance and I are planning to ask our guests to meet us for a cocktail/informal meet & greet prior to dinner on the two days that most of our guests arrive.  Everyone is arriving at different times and we want to make sure that we see everyone prior to the wedding.  It looks like our options are Barracuda Bar or Rendezvous Bar.  We are leaning towards Barracuda.  Does anyone have an opinion as to which would be best?  Thanks!!

  3. We are having 50-60 guests and don't plan to do the cocktail hour...we are using the same approach that you did.  Did they swap 1 cocktail hour guest for 1 dinner?   Or did they just give you a partial credit for not using the cocktail hour?

My husband and I didn't miss anything while we were taking pictures. Also, we were still able to have a plated dinner. The only thing I would suggest with that is get rid of the dessert.. We didn't but ended up asking our DJ to move forward before it was served.

  4. Hi Julie,

Did you ever hear back from anyone about this question?  I am also planning to use an outside photographer.  Claudia told me about the outside vendor fee, but never mentioned any photographers being banned.

Do any of you know that if Dreams Cancun has any photographer banned to the resort?

I've just found out from the photography thread that some resorts ban a certain photography company to come in to the resort for some reason.

I am about to sign a contract with outside photographer (Ivan Luckie photography) but not sure if he is allowed to the resort.

    Please let me know ASAP!!!

    Thank you always!

  5. Jana,

I really like Juan's work as well!  Do you know if we will get a credit from Dreams for not using the photographer they have listed in their package?

I think that Juan Navarro is beyond amazong and his prices are very reasonable!! I would go with that. My fiance and I just finished working up all of our songs for the cocktail hour, wedding video, reception, first dances, and ceremony, Wow what a long afternoon. We also finished our ceremony script..Yeah more to check off my list.
