Hello ladies, A few weeks ago we went on our site visits, and we saw alot in the few days that we were there. We stayed at the Paradisus Palma Real, and visited Majestic Elegance and Colonial, Melia Caribe, Iberostar Bavaro, Ocean Blue and Sand, and the Jellyfish Restaurant. We loved the Paradisus but it's wayyy too expensive for our guests.. I was in love with the Majestic Elegance from the start, but we were torn with the Melia...but in the end we choose the Majestic. We have booked our date for May 18, 2013!!! We didn't do food tastings but we did do a walk through of all the properties....I am very much in contact with the wedding coordinator, I think I am already driving her crazy... We have already booked the DJ, and I have been in contact with a photographer and videographer. I think once I have them booked, I can take a breath and calm down lol. Is it too early to be booking vendors? If you have any questions about any of the resorts that we visited I will try my best to help out, but I will be honest we saw all of them within 3 days so some of it is a blur!! Hi everyone, I'm in the process of checking out resorts and I want to know pricing for the additional services that Now has but no one is getting back to me when I email the address on the site ([email protected]). Grr. Does anyone have a direct email address to a WC or can you send me whatever package information you have? We are not planning on gettiing married till 2013 and i know they probably dont have those rates out yet but i just wanted to get an idea. My email is [email protected]. Hi Ladies! I am a 2013 bride as well!...hopefully May 25,2013 in Punta Cana. We want to go for a site visit in early February to make our decision of where we want to get married. Hopefully that is not too late as I see some of you have your date already booked!! A year and 7 months away and I am already feeling behind!! lol Right now I'm in the gathering as much information as possible phase..so hopefully soon we can narrow down the front runners...

Thanks for the welcome!! We are planning on getting married in Punta Cana and we have it narrowed down to a about 5 resorts but the top runners so far are the Majestic Elegance, Melia Caribe, and the Now Larimar. We plan on going in March of next year for a site visit to make our final decision. From what I read though there are many brides who are waiting for january to come so they can book their date in 2013....I hope our date isn't taken by March eek! Btw I think it's so funny that my status is actually "Lurker"...I guess I need to start posting more! lol

Hello Lovely Ladies!! I just wanted to introduce myself since I've been lurking now for awhile...My name is Nicole, my fiance and I have been engaged since May and we are planning to have our wedding in the Dominican Republic in May 2013. Wohoo! If you asked me a month ago I would have told you that 2013 is so far off and we have plenty of time BUT the more I read this forum, the more I understand that there is so much to do!! I now feel slightly overwhelmed and in a panic becasue there are so many questions that need to be answered. I am so grateful I found this site and happy to know I can turn to past and future brides for their experience and support! Congratulations to everyone and I look forward to talking with you all.
