  1. Hello Ladies...Is anyone here having an event on Saturday June 22nd? I keep getting told by my WC that the hotel is completely booked and there are multiple events happening the day of my wedding which will not allow me to do certain things however I have not seen or heard anyone else on this day : ( Ah I feel your pain I feel your pain! My FI and I are not trying to be cheap but our guests list has grown to 80 people so the $2 a person up charge on things really does add up! I feel like I should have taken a prior brides advice and had everything in writing before I booked myself and my guests so they could not do this now when we are only a few months away!! I will be doing Purples too!!! I wish our days were slightly closer I could leave you all of our purple decor!

  3. We were thinking of doing an outside DJ too but were not sure if we should just pay the fee or if we could book him a room for three nights. Has anyone or is anyone planning on booking a room for the outside DJ?
  4. I am on June 22nd. I was also told someone else is getting married the same day as me but have not heard anything else! My FI and I are planning to do an outside DJ but are not sure how it will work booking him three days vs. the vendor fee. Do we let our coordinator know he is the DJ? How does the hotel react if he would only check in the day of the event? Do they say anything when he wheels in all his equipment? I am so glad to hear the cake turned out. We just ordered a cake and I was very nervous. Has anyone on here been to the the Market stores or the Party supply store? I was thinking of decorating our reception with large glass cylinders with submerged flowers but did not know if that would be something they have there. Thanks for the Help!

  6. Does anyone know how the Pick and Choose Dinner works vs. the Set Dinner Menu? If we do the Pick and Choose menu does every guest get to pick their own appetizer and dessert along with their entree or do we have to pick the app. and dessert before? Also are we able to pick three entrees? My FI and I loved the Surf and Turf but were hoping to do a chicken option and vegetarian option. Thanks for the help!
  7. Just heard back from my WC and was told that Fresa has been "banned" as a vendor to Sensatori even if you are willing to pay the $800 vendor fee. I was shocked to hear this as it seems other brides have been using them. She did add that if I went off the resort and picked up decorations from fresa that I would be allowed to bring them back into the resort but would then be charge $5 per person for extra decorations. I had heard about there being a flat rate but never a per person amount for decorations. Has anyone else heard something about this?
  8. I am not sure about the names but if by Salon you mean very ugly back conference rooms I did not take pictures of those. They really just look like rooms from any normal hotel with little windows an no real feeling of Mexico or the elegance of the rest of the resort. We saw one wedding there while we were that and they had it as a back up to their outdoor wedding and worked fine but compared to the other areas around the resort I did not like it as a first option. I think my WC sent me some pictures of some receptions there so I can look and email those to you.
  9. My FI and I also did the dress rehearsal and loved it! We took a million pictures of the resort so to help with planning so if anyone needs pictures of a certain location or restaurant let me know and I will email them! I remember that they said we would get a free welcome cocktail party but could not find it is writing in any of the emails sent or in my notes from the day. Laura do you by chance know about the details of this party and have they remembered to include it? I feel prior to booking my FI and I were offered so many perks and incentives but now that we are booked they are forgetting about them or not mentioning them. At least we were able to get the most important ones in writing. They also told me that the time slot I wanted was booked however were not able to tell me if the bride was having the wedding on the sky deck like us or on the beach. They also did not comment on the size of the other wedding which worries me since we have a large group coming and trying to book rooms now. I know they have talked about it past posts but has anyone recently done or planning to do a beach bonfire? My FI really wants this and I just want to make sure it is what he is expecting.   10. Those colors are so pretty! I think a soft gray/blue or sage green would be perfect back drop to these beautiful colors!
  11. Very exciting amanda! We are also planning on having about that many guests and I was concerned that there would be limited spaces to hold that many for a reception. Where is yours planned? What menu did you pick out for that many? I did not expect this many people to be able to go so I am getting worried about space and budgets. Thanks Rachel
  12. I am not sure about prices however I do know that an adult can go to either side of the two resorts. Childred however are only allowed in some restaurants in the middle and the family resort. I am not sure if you had a wedding on one side or private event if they would allow children on the event site even if it was adults only but I would think not.
  13. I am deciding between the new Paradisus and Azul Sensatori for a 2013 wedding. My FI and I area going to look at both sites this june. So far Paradisus has been very hard to coordinate with so hopefully after things settle down with the opening they get the kinks worked out. Let me know if anyone finds out any other information aside from what the site provides!
