  1. Manda...I would get in touch with the ones that didn't RSVP by the date you chose.  I had to do the same with some of my guests because I guess some people don't know they have to RSVP (frustrating I know!).  They were like "oh I didn't think I had to RSVP and that I could just book last minute..."

I had a final date for the group deposit and whoever didn't give their deposit to our TA by that date wouldn't get the group discount and would have to book on their own.  This only happened to one couple.  Luckily everyone else payed their deposit on time and could benefit from the group discount!

    Good luck!

  2. I'm planning on bringing my our centerpieces.  I found that the centerpieces at the resort were too expensive.  I plan on buying 5-6 square vases (depending on how many tables we have) at Ikea and getting flowers from Michales.  I'm hoping to fill the vase with lime slices that I'll get over there.  Either at a local market or from the resort.  I also have purple rose petals that will be scarttered all over the table along with some 4 votive candles I got at Michaels.

I told my bridesmaids and mother that they each have to bring a vase in their carry-ons :)

Here is my inspiration (my colors are purple and green):

  3. Hi Mommies!

I have a 7 month old son and by next year (at the time of our wedding) he'll be 14 months.  Here's my question....What size clothes does a 14 month old boy wear?  Everything is on sale right now and I would love to buy him cute summer clothes for the wedding but have no idea what size to get.  He's not very big but he is tall for his age.  He's 7 1/2 months right now and wears size 12 months.

    Thanks for your help ladies!

  4. Hi Brides!

I have a question regarding a beach ceremony decor.  I am getting married on the beach and I was wondering if any of you had pictures of the basic set up is.  I'm getting the "Paradise Package" so having the ceremony on the beach is $300 extra.  I was just curious to see how it was decorated and if I should bring my own tulle or flowers etc...

I also saw that they charge $500 to have flowers for the beach canopy....does anybody have pictures and is it worth the extra $$ ?

    Thanks!!

  5. I love this dress in purple!  I will definitely look into ordering for my bridesmaids.  They are all different sizes so hopefully it fits nice on all of them.

    Thanks for the link!

  6. What about at a party supply store (Party Mart, Party Packagers....)?  I haven't checked but I wouldn't be surprised if they have some there.

    Good luck!

I found them online but I feel don't want to pay shipping on six little candles so I was hoping to find them locally. I got lots of white ones hoping I could wrap a few in coloured cellophane to change the colour but that didn't work so well. No luck at Michael's, Walmart or Dollarama so far.....

  7. Hi cath2012

Did you check out bloombridal.com? It's a Toronto company so shipping shouldn't be that much to ship to Ottawa. I'm also looking to see what would be cheaper...getting real touch flowers or flowers from the resort.

I live in Ottawa as well and looking for Real Touch suppliers.  Did this price include shipping?

Her work looks amazing!  My wedding is also in January, what is your arrival date?

  8. Hi ladies

So far, one of my bridesmaids' gifts is a travel wallet from Danier Leather.  It has a removable passport holder, with slots for boarding pass, credits cards and passport.  It was on sale for 29$ (down from 45$) and they have a lot of cute colors.

My wedding isn't until March 2012 so I'm picking up things when I see they're on sale!  I'm also thinking of getting them a starfish necklace to wear on the wedding day and a pair of really nice sunglasses.  I'm also paying for their dresses.

My fiancé has no idea what to get the guys....any ideas???
