  1. Lindsey - my Fi and I sat and watched your Youtube videos last night and got so excited lol. Those are some valuable videos! Do you know if it was at full capacity when you were visiting? It looked so peaceful... currentMrsS - nice cameo in Lindey's video dimplesandsuga - thank you! Looks like your wedding is a couple weeks after ours. I've already learned so much from this site. I've literally read every post on this thread I'm still wondering if it's possible to just add a sit down dinner onto the complimentary Paradise package? We're bringing a photographer, as well as someone for hair/makeup, so the wedding packages just don't make much sense for us. But, it looks like the silver/gold dinners only apply to the Dreams of Love and Ultimate packages. Anyone know for sure?
  2. Hello everyone! I know this thread says "brides" post here, but what about us proactive grooms (to be)?? I'm just trying to take some of the stress away from my B2B (bride to be) by doing a lot of the research/planning myself. It's actually kinda fun (shhhhh..don't tell anyone Anyway...we're booked at DRC!! Tanna & Shane April 23, 2012 @ 5pm North Beach DRC
  3. asanyc, I agree it's pretty ridiculous to charge per head for dinner at an all-inclusive resort. We were thinking about renting out a restaurant for our reception to save some money, such as Seaside. But, they charge $35/pp for a minimum of 40 people in order to do this. So it's totally not worth it, in my opinion, unless you have over 40 people. We will have somewhere around 32 people. Plus, the restaurant reservation is only for 2 hours, as opposed to 3 hours for a silver/gold dinner. So now we're back looking at the wedding packages... Regarding the silver/gold dinners: The Wedding Guide says "Menu only applies for Dreams of Love & Dreams Ultimate Wedding Package". I guess this means you can't simply pay (add on) for a sit down dinner with the complimentary Wedding in Paradise package to save money?
  4. I am also curious about the renting out of a restaurant for the reception. I'm thinking about Seaside, for the view. Which restaurants have you guys rented out and what was your experience? Did you have room to dance? Did you have a sound system? Did you carry in decorations, or did the restaurant provide any decorations? Did you have a preset menu? Thanks in advance!
