  1. I paid about $800 for everything. That was my bouqet, 7 bridesmaids bouqets, 9 boutinarres, 2 wrist corsages and 10 loose plumerias for my cake. I also added a starfish to mine and had crystals added in the center of my plumerias. It probably would have cost me around the same price had I gone with the resort florist. But I felt more comfortable being able to get exactly what I wanted months before my wedding. Had I choose the resort flowers I wouldn't have been able to pick anything out until a few days before my wedding and I was not ok with that.

Good luck in your decision. I wouldn't change my deicision to have real touch flowers and I dont' think that will change once my wedding happens. I will be sure to post pics from the actual wedding next month cheesy.gif

  2. I plan on carrying my bouquet in my dress bag on the plane. Hopefully it works out ok! I haven't given thought to my BM/s bouquets. There are 7 of them and I'm afraid if I have them bring them down I will just worry about someone forgetting theirs. We have SO much stuff to travel with it is stressing my FI out big time. I'm hoping we can upgrade to 1st class for a reasonable price at the last minute.

I highly recommend Roberta. She was great to work with and her work is outstanding. I really am glad I choose real touch over flowers from the resort because I have seen recent brides posting bouquets that are not at all what I want.

  3. Thanks everyone! I just couldn't spend all that money on real flowers and throw them away after the wedding. Especially not being able to bring them back home. Plus I could pick my flowers and work with Roberta on what I was looking for instead of telling my WC 2 days before my wedding what I wanted and would most likely had to pay for an upgrade on the flowers. A lot of brides seem to be going with Real Touch and I now see why. You won't be disappointed cheesy.gif

  4. I just received my bouquets in the mail the other week. I used Plumeria's Wedding Flower Boutique and Roberta was a pleasure to work with. She is located in California and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. She was very easy to work with. The pictures were just taken on my phone and please excuse the mess in the backgrounds. I have been slacking on the cleaning ;)

  5. I had Plumeria's do my flowers too! Roberta is amazing. My wedding is in less than 2 months and I just received my flowers a few weeks ago! They are even more amazing and gorgeous in person. I believe Roberta does centerpieces as well. She has a website and a facebook page. I would contact her via email and see what she says. She is so great to work with. I've taken my flowers with me to my dress fittings and received so many compliments.

I also receive a bouquet and bout in my wedding package but wanted to be able to bring my flowers home with me. You can't go through customs with real flowers so that was part of my reasoning for going with fake flowers. I wanted orchids and cala's and going through the resort I would have had to pay extra to "upgrade" to those flowers plus I do nothave to worry about them wiliting.

  6. Gorgeous!!! I ordered from Roberta as well and mine are shipping in a few weeks. I'm so anxious to finally see them!!!

Just got my order from plumeriasweddingflowerboutique.com and I had to post  a quick review to say how fantastic it worked out. Roberta was super enthusiastic and easy to work with. She communicated quickly and for under $300 she executed what I was picturing to a tee. I got a 10" bouquet for myself, 2 6" bouquets for my bridesmaids, 3 bouts and a dozen loose flowers to decorate the cake. I HIGHLY recommend her for those considering real touch flowers (and yes they feel and look very real) especially if you love frangipani which are super expensive to get outside of Hawaii or the southern U.S.P1060763.JPGP1060767.JPGP1060768.JPG

  7. I think your BM bouquets look great just the way they are. If you really think they need something maybe add 2 or 3 of the roses in your bouqet. Even the size is fine.

This is my approval photo for my real touch flowers and I LOVE my bouquet. But I am thinking my BM bouquets may be missing something or should be a bit larger....

Thoughts and ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks!IMG_0644.JPG

  8. I went with Real Touch for my wedding. For the same price I could pick exactly what I wanted without an added charge for "upgrading". Plus they won't wilt or die and I can bring them back home with me. I choose Plumeria's Wedding Flower Boutique located in California. I know a lot of girls use Enchanting Memories which I think is based in Canada. Both have great reviews from past brides. I'm still debating on selling mine after the wedding. I'm not 100% sold on the idea but it's not like I'll ever use them again. My wedding colors are pink and orange so my flowers will match that.

I know plumeria's has a facebook page but I'm not sure about Enchanting memories. They do both have webpages though. I think for all my bouquets & bout's (I have 7 BM's and 7 groomsmen) plus my FI and myself. I forget exactly what my total was but I think it was between $600-$700 for everything.

Have you picked a resort yet?!

  9. My wedding is March 29, 2012 and I'm in the process now of making my invites. I'm including the DW and the AHR on the same invite just because I really don't really like having to do 2 sets of invitations. I'm hoping to have them in the mail around Thanksgiving. I know it's 4 months before the DW and around 5 months for the AHR (AHR is May 5). I feel like with the holidays and then everything I will need to start doing for the DW I just don't want to worry about working on my AHR invites and spending more money on postage.

I think you are fine sending them out before the final payment is due. Honestly, having a DW doesn't really follow all of the proper rules of wedding checklists. That's how I feel anyway cheesy.gif

  10. Sorry to hear about all of that! My thoughts are this: The people who don't come to your DW are the ones losing out. My FI and I talk about this all the time. His cousin's got married in Italy a few years ago and we didn't go, but they always tell us too that you are surprised by the ones who actually come and the people who you really thought would go don't. Don't sweat it, you will have the time of your life with the people who care most about you and your FI. Our best man still hasn't booked his room so we are kind of in the same boat.

    Good luck with everything!

  11. Hi girls! I was in Michaels over the weekend to grab some supplies for my invites and came across these crystal starfish. I'm obessed with my starfish theme so I just had to grab these! I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them but my sister told I would figure out something. I'm 99% sure I'm going to have them attached to my BM's bouquets and then have them turned into a keychain possibly after the wedding as a little keepsake. There is a hole at the top so you can make a necklace, keychain, etc.

Just thought I'd share for all the other brides out there who love starfish just as much as me woot.gif

Right now they are 40% off (but a new sale may have started this week). The regular price is $9.99 so I'm collecting coupons as I find them to go buy more! So far I have two 50% off coupons to use.IMG_2329.JPG

  12. That was my other idea. I think I like that better than having to pay for app's. I guess a little break in between would hurt anyone, it would prob. be refreshing.

    Thanks for your help!

  13. Hello ladies! I am in need of some advice. Our wedding ceremony is at 3pm and since the dinner isn't until 6:30 I'm not exactly sure what to do with our guests for the approx. 2.5 hours in between. I know you can have a cocktail hour in one of the bars and order hors d'oeuvres but not sure my FI will agree with me on that since you have to pay extra for the food. I just feel bad leaving my guests with free time when they are dressed up (we are doing beach formal attire). I highly doubt people will want to go swimming or back to their rooms. Any past brides have any advice?!

    Thanks!!
