Hey Everyone. So I just wrapped up some final details with the WC Gina. She has been super helpful and has also said okay to a lot of my changes. It is the Random sizes of vases with white candles and red rose petals. I switched to White Rose petals based on my color scheme. Our Reception is on the Deck and since my family owns www.oogalights.com she is allowing me to bring my own paper lanterns and borrow her strand. My travel agent and radio group are flying down there to scope some things out, take pictures, meet with Gina this week. I'll post pictures.... Soon Also - Dovi - Jason Maraz and Colbi Caillat will be down there playing with the group I am with! So you will def be able to enjoy that. There still may be one other band too.

oh okay!! yeah I have made these a ton - Martha Stewart has a tutorial on how to make them. How are using them as a center pc. I think I have given up on trying to make mine and just going to purchase them through the resort - I want the twigs going to see if I can bring down pearls to drape around them. Need to find some pictures and see what my quote will be. Evangelina handed all my info over to Gina to start the final details of our wedding. The radio station I am flying down with is checking out the place this week and they are going to take more pictures for me of the areas. I'll post if anything seems helpful for you girls!

Yes, I have actually worked with her a lot. She is very very busy with so many weddings and questions. Just make sure to make your subject line.... simple and include ur last name and wedding date. keep emails simple only a few questions. They really dont give you the most help until really close to your date. Don't worry they do a great job.

Just wanted to let you ladies know that I ordered the Sashes from BBCrafts.com and they came in today. FAST delivery. Also they are great quality for .70 a pc. I ordered the Navy Blue Satin Material.

I love the branch Idea, are you buying the branches from them? If not how are you going to travel with them? I just ordered my chair bows today and they shipped the same day! only .70 a pc! such a steal! I think I am just going to get navy blue round place mats at Target and use in the center of the table and put the lanterns and candles on them/around it just trying to think of the easiest way to travel. the website was www.bbcrafts.com I also ordered 50 mini maracas from AmScan (throught my work) for each of the guest and we are doing "shake for a kiss" Since I am going down with a large Chartered group with a local radio station they bring the bands down. Last year we got engaged on their show at the resort next door - Now Sapphire. So this year we planned our wedding the same time. But I will be arriving friday the 16th and staying 7 nights. The radio show plays from 12-2pm typically and I wanted to catch some of that, so if you are willing to take the earlier salon times that would be perfect b/c I can hop in after that! Those bands will not be there, those were the bands from the past - but the bands stay at the resort so it makes for a ton of fun! Well, the patio deck that is wooden that is by the infinity pool is what I choose. I have submitted stuff in the past and they kept confusing my times. I am sure it will all work out. bc of my group size I choose not to do cocktail our and just use the pool bar and have the included trio play over there while people are taking pictures. I have 4 girls standing up in the wedding. So fun talking to someone who has same date!

Hey Petal, How are you, you are saying Anel who shoots photos is is manager of all the wedding co-ordinators? I thought she was only with Aventuras photography which is on site. She always replies to me right away and is super nice.

As for hair and make up I have the email and emailed and no return. But I read they said don't email in no more then 60 days.. so not sure. I am a hairstylist but don't want to do hair on the say of my wedding. I have a group of girls that needed to get in around 2pm. Hopefully they have enough people working.

I am working with Evangelina and Gina, mostly Evangelina. How many guests are you having? I am flying in with a Radio Station from Chicago - you will be lucky to enjoy live bands. Last year we had Crystal Bowersox, Michael Frante and Plain White Tees - The year before we had Train and Lifehouse. I can't share who the bands will be for the weekend of our wedding but you guys will be able to enjoy too! That's weird they booked us both on the Patio wooden Deck. I emailed to just see what was going on... Yeah I am little in a wreck about center pcs - I had a manufacture make plastic ft tall vases so that I can fill with pearls and flameless candles. But I def wanted twigs and branches with lights - but refuse to pay for the costs of them. My parents own www.oogalights.com so if you need any lighting (lanters ect) I can give you a deal. Since I'll be in a large group we are doing the Carribean Buffet. We are also doing a symbolic wedding. What are your colors? We are using a pallet of Navy, Grays, and shades of whites

It looks like me and you will be getting married the same day!!! How fun! I will not be using the DJ since one of our groomsmen is a well known DJ in the midwest, we are just renting the equipment. I am working on my own center pcs to bring down there - I am also going to bring my own chair bows since they are cheaper then renting. I will just use the white linens for the rest. Also I had my own flowers (fake) made with broaches and lace, a vintage theme, b/c I wasn't fond of the choices. I have Anel booked for full day coverage and trash the dress. We are using the Gazebo at 4:30 and patio wood deck for reception. Are you getting married on the beach?

Your photos are amazing! Thank you for sharing. I am so happy that I have Anel for my photography too. I also did the full day coverage. Did you think the dance floor was worth it? I am debating whether or not to have it. Makes me nervous that people might fall off of it. I am also going to use your idea for the photo guest book. Where did you purchase your camera? The ultimate package includes dinner reception for 20 people anything over that is I believe a 65 dollar fee for 2012. You will get a photographer for 30 mins in that package to take 50 photos. You will need to contact Anel for additional photos. I choose to book her for the whole day for 1400 for 200 photos plus my 50 included in package.

They wrote me back and said sorry for any delay. They said my date was confirmed but no charge to the credit card yet. At least I am getting that far. I have booked Anel for photography and then set my time up for the ceremony so I guess it's their issue for not wanting my money right away lol. I am sure it will work out all fine. But it's just a lot different to just not have everything to laid out like it is in the States.

I sent my down payment 12 days ago and Gina replied right away. She said she would let me know when she was going to charge my card - She has still not charged the card. I know my date is secure but my family is going to start booking their flights soon. Do they send you a formal contract or form with everything written out? How does this all work? I am getting nervous and my wedding is March 18th 2012. HELP! Thanks
