Thank you so much!! The sand ceremony comes with the package. We never talked about a sand ceremony so I didn't even know we were going to do one til the actual wedding lol. They provided the sand and the container.

We actually didn't bring our own sand or our own glass vase for the sand ceremony. In fact when we went over all of the details with Yamina we never brought up the sand ceremony. They just threw it in. The day after at the pool I remember someone asking me if I get to take it home with me and I said, "I guess not since we don't have it." But the next day it was in our room and they had sealed it for us We just wrapped in in a bunch of clothes and it was fine. I think if you want a specific one then I would bring it.

Thank you! Our wedding was at 5 on north beach and the reception was from 6:30-9:30 on the pool deck. That 3 hours for the reception flew by and I was wishing I added an hour!

Why did you have to sign something that says you wouldn't have more that 40 people? I haven't heard of that. I didn't give her my exact head count until I met with her the day we got to the resort. I told her a round about # but not an exact #. You should only have to pay for however many people end up coming.

My best friend (and also one of my bridesmaids) does hair and make-up so she did mine. I gave my hair and make-up appointment to my niece who was my flower girl. I thought they did a great job on her. We didn't end up doing a cocktail hour and just put that money towards the dinner. We had 77 people so I didn't want to have to pay per head for cocktail hour and then for dinner also. Most people just watched us take pictures while other people just went to the restaurant or outside bar and got drinks while they waited. The mariachi band played on the beach while we took pictures. We went with the caribbean buffet and it was really good. We did get the tres leches cake. We actually only got it for 40 people and it was plenty big. Hope that helps

Thank you Yes we bought the bouquets through the resort. I can't remember how much mine was because it changed from what she originally emailed me but I do know that my bridesmaid bouquets were $65. Yamina also told me that they can only get peonies in May and June which I have no idea if that is true. If I can find my receipt then I will let you know how much mine was.

Thank you I can't remember exactly how much I paid for it. There was a little confusion on my bouquet before I got there but they did tell me that they can only get peonies in May and June which I have no idea if that is true. I just knew that I really wanted peonies so that was something that I was willing to pay extra for. Sorry I can't remember exactly! They have a print out of everything that you pay for and I am not sure where I put it. If I find it I will let you know.

Thank you! Yea that was pretty funny when they were doing the pyramid. That was the video that was included in the Ultimate Package. Yes the veil definitely got in the way. Luckily my bridesmaids tucked it in the back of my dress. I took the veil off for the reception and put on a hair clip. I love the idea of the veil but not sure if I would wear it again if I could go back.

Thank you! We didn't provide any wording except we wrote our own vows. Thats funny that it is so similar to yours and you wrote yours! We did bring our sand ceremony vase home. I just wrapped a bunch of clothes around it and it was fine.

Hey ladies, We got married a couple weeks ago on May 18th and we had an awesome experience. We got there on a Wednesday and our wedding was that Friday. We met with Yamina the day we got there to go through everything again. We were emailing back and forth a lot a couple weeks before. I brought my table runners and chair sashes but did everything else through the resort. We went with DJ Mauricio Neri and he was awesome! He also did our music for the ceremony. We met with him on Thursday afternoon and we gave him a list of songs for the ceremony and he also took good notes on his computer. We also have him a list of songs we wanted to play at the reception and then just told him to play similar music when that list ran out. The two nights before our wedding it rained so at 3 on our wedding day Yamina came in and asked if we wanted to move the reception to the ballroom. I couldn’t decide because I didn’t want to move it inside but I also didn’t want it to rain. I told her to go ask Luke (my husband) and that he could make the final decision. He wanted it outside so we decided to keep it outside. I am so happy that we did because the weather was perfect. It was windy but it didn’t rain. The following 3 nights the weather wasn’t good so we got really lucky! The service at the resort was amazing and we originally booked the honeymoon suite and they upgraded us to the Master suite which was awesome. I am not very happy about the wedding coordinators being switched at all! I have sent atleast 5 emails with questions and I always say can you please confirm that I am on north beach for my wedding and the pool deck for my reception and they never respond to that question. It is driving me crazy! I don't know what I will do if they change it on me. Ana confirmed with me but I don't trust it until I get it confirmed with Yamina. Also, a while ago I sent a picture of the bouquet I want to Evangelina and she said it would be $165 extra. Yamina just emailed me and told me it would be $400 extra. Is anyone on here going to use real silk flowers? If so do they look real?

Yea Ana doesn't work there anymore. She used to be my wedding coordinator. Then I started getting emails from evangelina and then yesterday I got an email from Yamina that she is my new wedding coordinator. What email address are you using?

Wow we really are! I feel the same way about white looking either great or cheap. I will probably do a welcome cocktail hour also because that just sounds much easier. Is your wedding dress white or ivory. My dress is light ivory but looks white when you take a picture of it. So I don't know if I should match the linen suit to my dress or if his suit is white would it matter. If anyone else knows this answer or has an opinion please let me know!

We aren't planning any group excursions just because I think that would be difficult to try and coordinate that. We are going to do some kind of OOT bags but not sure yet. My fiance really wants to get those insulated acrylic cups with a lid and straw and then put our logo sticker and a sticker with peoples names on it. They are not the cheapest thing but he REALLY wants them. So most of the time he doesn't have an opinion and lets me make the decisions and then other times he has a very strong opinion. I originally wanted him to wear a vest also but he did not want to wear one. We went and tried it on and I thought he looked so cute but he didn't like it so I dropped it. I am not sure on the welcome dinner. I think we are just going to have everyone meet at a bar at a certain time. The wedding is already going to be expensive with that many people so I don't really want to pay for a welcome dinner when they can eat for free. I can't believe it is 3 months til my wedding. It is starting to freak me out!
