Hi ladies! Another new Valentin bride! Long time lurker and finally made a commitment to go destination. We booked the "Moonlit Memories" package and our wedding date is July 10, 2012. Thanks for all your reviews pictures and advice so far- it really helped us decide on this resort.

My fiance and I just moved to a new city and no other friends or family were nearby or available. I had browsed with my mom previously and got a good idea of what looked good but didn't find anything at that time. On a whim I went to a local bridal consignment shop I heard about. I took a new close friend from work, my phone to call mom and take lots of pictures and my fiance. I didn't expect to find anything, just looking in case but I ended up finding my dress with him there. I don't think it will spoil a thing. Like other brides said, he is my best friend- I expect that I could have worn a paper bag and he would have liked it. I suppose I should add that our wedding will be super casual and only parents, siblings and close friends if they can make it. Where other brides may have family traditions of shopping with generations of women and having umpteen bridal showers and events, our wedding plans thus far have been centered around us as a couple. I suppose I would describe it as eloping-plus. So for him to be a part of the process was an event- a memory of this time for us.
