Has anyone flown with their dress as their carry-on? Specifically on Frontier? I have gotten two different responses from customer service reps each time I’ve called and I’m starting to get nervous…

@cohen2b: I am in your shoes too. We get married a month later on 09.03.11 and like you, I'm starting to worry. I'm sure everything will work out but I'm also nervous now about final costs and being nickel and dimed. We should have around 30 guests and are doing a catamaran cruise (through another vendor) as our reception. I REFUSE to pay $45 per head (for the 10 extra guests) just for a cocktail hour!

I think Juan Navarro is some how affiliated with Blue Lens Caribe; one of the blog comments on the Blue Lens Caribe Excellence Playa Mujeres webpage suggests this. From what I've read in here, he is a bit of a diva. Good luck with all of this! Our wedding is in two months and we are doing a catamaran cruise reception, so I hope they don't start to restrict third party vendors altogether...

So crazy! I'd explain the situation and how disapointed you are on Excellence's Facebook page; company's hate the bad PR. A lot of this just boggles my mind, including all the add-on costs, don't they understand we are bringing in guests they wouldn't have otherwise had?

@Matt- I wasn't meaning to be offensive and certainly wasn't trying to take away a photographer's creativity. Unfortunately, our budget doesn't allow for outside vendor photography (though I absolutely wish it did!); so we'll be settling for the resort's photographer. I'm glad I got your take on the subject and won't be showing the photographer "sample" photos. I guess we'll just leave it to fate! Ladies- Any word on the wedding coordinator situation?

Ladies, what is your take on bringing sample pictures/poses taken by other photographers to show your photographer what you are looking for/interested in for wedding day photographer. Is that rude?

Has anyone been photographed by the new photographer, Blue Lens, yet? If so, what did you think? I'm a little nervous and wondering if we should jump ship and go with another photographer.

@Mrs091011 - When are you getting to the resort? We are leaving on September 8th. Also, how many people do you plan to have and what are your colors?

@Sharon99 - You can do a beach bonfire, it's about $400 (or at least that's what Yamina told me it would cost). You're only two months away?! Congratulations

Hi Mrs091011 and congratulations to you too! The catamaran cruise is extra; I think we are going to have around 30-35 guests and I don't really want to pay $45 per head (over 20 people) for a sit down meal that they've really already paid for (by staying at the resort). So I think we're going to do the cruise instead. How far along into the planning process are you? I'm so excited; we get married six months from today!

Hi! Is anyone getting married at Excellence Playa Mujeres late August or September 2011? We are getting married there on September 3rd. Has anyone done a catamaran cruise reception instead of the typical sit-down meal? If so, do you recommend the company you went with and did you have to provide any extra entertainment on the boat ride?
