So far I got 16oz acrylic double walled tumblers for the bags and the welcome booklet I made.  I would like to add one or 2 more items.  I am thinking of putting starbucks VIA ready brew in the bags.  Reviews on tripadvisor claim that the coffee at our resort is beyond drinkable.  I recently learned that starbucks now makes a ice coffee VIA ready brew too!  So I might mix and match them up.

I'm also going to put in magazines in all the women's/couples bags for them to read while by the pool, the fun celebrity gossip type magazines.  I'm struggling with what I can put in there for the guys though?  Any suggestions?

Oh and I got the girls Pashmina's (ebay, $5, they are so nice!!) but they get them at the wedding, guys get cigars.

  2. Emma,

My FI and I are doing oot bags but we are also doing some "different things"

    1) We are hand delivering these cookies ( http://luluscookies.com/order_case.htm ) to everybody at their room when they arrive

    2) We are doing pashminas for all of the ladies but not in the OOT bags we are having them embroidered with each ladies name and they will be placed on the chairs at the ceremony.

    3) We are also as a favor for our wedding getting little glass bottles with cork stoppers etched with the words Negril Jamaica for everybody to take some sand home with them. Those will be at our cocktail reception!!

    Hope this helps!

  3. @ JayKay

We actually got it at Sears!! The price was AWESOME we could not, not get it!! We were debating between two of them this one and a tungsten band. He decided he liked the feeling of the titanium because it is lighter.. Our grand total with a lifetime protection plan was........... drum roll please.....................$85.99!!!! It was AMAZING!! The tungsten band was $112.00 but like I said a bit heavier!

  4. We are not paying for anyone either!! My brother got married in Walt Disney World in 2009 and did not pay for anybody to go down rooms or airfare and I did buy my own dress, shoes and paid to have my hair/makeup done.

I have changed it up a little bit from what they did. We are paying for the guys outfits thus being that I want them all to match and they are NOT wearing tuxes. I am getting the girls dresses custom made so I am buying the fabric and they are paying for the actual dress to be made. I am paying for their hair/makeup to be done in the room with me the day of the wedding. I am taking the girls on a tour of the rain forest, and we are going to be getting them some pretty awesome gifts!!

  5. Well I haven't managed to do much in the past few (December, January, February) months with Christmas and then moving but today I am officially back to wedding planning, and I could not be more happy and refreshed to finish!! Today we bought FI's ring!! One more thing to cross off the list!!

He chose a simple titanium thick band design! Guys are so simple & easy!!

  6. I have officially decided on having a cocktail reception for our wedding! I have gone back and forth with this for months on end and have finally figured it out! We are going to be having a traditional sit down "welcome dinner" this being said I didn't want two sit down dinners in a row!

Now that I have made my decision I would love to talk to others who are also going this route (cocktail reception) Toss ideas back and forth, decoration ideas...  etc!

  7. So sorry it took me forever to write back to everyone on here! I actually found a girl on this website who designed beautiful invites for herself and I e-mailed her.. :) I guess it was pretty bold but she agreed to make them for me! Our wedding isn't until 2013 so I actually just e-mailed her the other day to get the ball rolling! If anybody wants her information. PM with your e-mail address and I will let her know you are interested and give her your contact information!
