So so far we are at 8050.00.... we are trying to stay under $10,000.00  my cake and everything else is included so all we have to get is oot bags together wedding party gifts and my fi's attire.  I am 100% sure we can stay under 10,000!

Thanks Tammy!! I am feeling better already about my travel agent situation! Everything else (with the help of your awesome site) seems so easy! I found and ordered my flowers, interviewed many photographers and found one we love! And all sorts of other things have come so easily..until we spoke with our first travel agent! Then my nerves started going! Your reassurance is calming me down already!!!! Thanks so much again!

Hi popo28! I have a remotely similar situation to yours. My father left my mother for my mothers best friend. And my fiance and I pretty much only talk to him when we have to and pretty much put on a show and do a lot of pretending around him. When I told him that his girl friend (my moms old best friend ) was not invited he pretty much said he was not attending in so many words. Then he tried to buy her invite to our wedding by offering us money. She is still not invited and to be honest I think its crazy that my father can't travel alone act like an adult for his daughters wedding. But whatever I don't care either way just so his girlfriend is no where nea my wedding or in Mexico for that matter. For your situation I do not know if I would skype it because sitting home not being there may upset him. I would suggest planning a visit and small get togeher with his friends and famiyl brim pictures and videos so they can relive the day with you! Hope this helps!!!!

Thanks perry! I love the idea of the reminder before the formal invitations are sent out to check the wedding website because we do regurally update it! Im going to send thm out as soon as we finish fillig out the addresses. Then send a little reminder! Thanks!! Also does visits print have a format for something like that or did you just do a custome design postcard??

Hello everyone!! So after long deliberation and emailing and speaking to OVER 50 photographers we have finally made a decision! Jose Luis Hernandez. He and his crew will be doing both our photography and videography. He emails me back everytime very quickly! He is so nice and easy to work with. He trys so hard to work with your budgets! And he's pictures and videos look great! We are so excited to work with him! Also a note to all of my 2012 brides a lot of the other photographers would not give me prices of let us book because our wedding is not until july 28th 2012. I am a super planner and I always try to plan far in advance. So I was excited when we were able to book our date make our down payment and check photography and videography off our list! Hi Wendy! Maybe we can talk. I was previously working with a travel agent and feel as if maybe contacting a new travel agent would be our better bet we don't feel comfortable with the one we were workin with. We were going to trash the TA idea all together. Maybe you could give us a second opinion! Thanks!

Just wondering if any of my fellow 2012 brides have sent out their save the dates yet?  Our wedding date is july 28th 2012, and I want to give everyone plenty of notice planning and saving time.  I will probably finish filling out the addresses on the Save the dates by the 2nd week in April do you think thats too soon to send them out?  Let me know what  you guys think!  Thanks!  oh and heres a sneek peek of how they turned out!  I love them!

Hi My name is jamie and I am getting married at the hotel riu caribe july 28th 2012. I am wondering how many of you brides out there are planning your wedding without the help of a travel agent. Thus far my fi and I have booked our hotel are looking for photographers and pretty much everything we have done on our own and im wonderig why I would pay a travel agent to do the my guest booking? Seems like a waste of money! Id like to hear from other brides and get your opinions of if I should get one or keep doing it ourselves.

Hi! Congratulations on booking your photographer! I am in the process of researching photographers and I was looking at his work and it is beautiful. If you don mind me asking what did he quote you at my first photographer photos in cancun quoted me at 1500.00 for an entire day and all photos released to us with 100 professionally edited. Now our second one blue lens quoted me at 5500.00 for the same thing! Now im concerned as to why the first was so low. If you could help me out with some info it would of great help!

Hi! I was just recently in cancun september 2010 for a week long stay. While there my fi. Proposed and we are headed back to the riu cribe to enjoy our wedding with friends and family. I can promise you during our week stay we had NO troubles. We even traveled away from the hotel zone to the ruins. And a sink hole in this beautiful mayan village! It was su h a beautiful experience. My fiance and I got engaged at the riu caribe September 19th 2010. Now our friends and family are heading back for.our wedding! Already sent in our wedding request with the resort and now we are waiting for our confirmation number to continue with our booking. Does anyone know how long this takes?? I want to send out our save the dates asap to allow plenty of time for everyone to plan and save. Also im starting to research photographers because photos are extremely important to me. Any advice? If anyone can throw any info or ideas my way I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
