  1. We got our pictures back from our wedding. Hopefully they help you visualize the different locations! http://juanphotos.com/proofs/A&E http://juanphotos.com/proofs/A&E1 http://juanphotos.com/proofs/A&E2 http://juanphotos.com/proofs/A&E3 There's over 1700 of them but hopefully it will help! 2. WE LOVED NAYELI! I know it is frustrating that she doesn't respond right away. After being at the resort and seeing how much work she puts into each wedding, I understand why it sometimes takes her awhile to respond to emails. She gave us 100% of her attention on our day and made sure that everything turned out perfectly. There is a wedding almost every day so just keep in mind how many weddings she is planning. She touched our hearts and we will forever appreciate how much work she put into this. One suggestion that I have is to resend an email if she hasn't responded within a week. Once it gets closer to the wedding and you need a response faster, use the word URGENT in your email... that seemed to work! Otherwise, I would also suggest calling her.
  3. I am sorry that I haven't posted anything here for awhile. We arrived home from our wedding/honeymoon and had our reception this weekend so I finally have some time to sit down with my computer! I want you all to know that it was an AMAZING experience and I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect!! Reception options: You can have your reception in any of the restaurants that are closed that night. Usually there are 2 restaurants that are closed every night and these are available for your reception. We had our reception in the foyer and it was amazing. This is a private room off the main lobby that is like a huge covered patio but is absolutely amazing! The food was amazing and they set up a HUGE bar! I would pick this location over any of the restaurants as it was very private and works well for small (we had 11 guests) or large groups! There isn't any cost for your reception as long as you get one of the wedding packages that include a meal. Ceremony options: My vote is for the pier - which is where we had our wedding. There are pros and cons of both, but for me the pros outweighed the cons. The pier is definitely more private. While we were on our honeymoon we also saw a wedding that was on the beach. People staying at the resort LOVE to watch weddings and you can count on having a large crowd who will cheer you on after the ceremony - which was fun. People get a lot closer to you if you are getting married on the beach as there are chairs pretty close to the ceremony site. If you get married on the pier people will stand on the beach but you don't know they are there. The pier is much windier than the beach but it helps to keep you cool! They use a great sound system so our guests could easily hear the ceremony. You can wear heels on the beach but they make it very awkward to walk and the brides that I've seen wear heels in the sand looked very uncomfortable. We got married on the pier so I had my maid of honor carry my shoes and place them on the end of the pier. I walked barefoot through the sand and slipped on my heels for the walk down the pier. I took all of our beach pictures in barefeet which was much easier and more comfortable. All of our guests ended up taking their shoes off as well. Cocktail hour: We had our cocktail hour right on the beach. They set up a huge fully-stocked bar in a little hut and some cocktail tables and we had a mariachi band. We had so much fun. Having the cocktail party on the beach allowed our guests to feel like they were a part of our photo session on the beach. It was so much fun! Let me know if you have any other questions! Love to help!
  4. Hello All!! I am sorry that I haven't posted anything here for awhile. We arrived home from our wedding/honeymoon and had our reception this weekend so I finally have some time to sit down with my computer! I want you all to know that it was an AMAZING experience and I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect!! I will email the PDF files of flower/cake options! Just know that I found a bouquet that I loved online and emailed a picture. The wedding coordinator will let you know if it is a possibility with the package you had. The florist they use did an amazing job on my flowers!! Reception options: You can have your reception in any of the restaurants that are closed that night. I can guarantee that there are going to be hiccups, but I promise you that it will be perfect so my biggest suggestion is to not freak out. You are in the middle of paradise and your wedding will be beautiful! I had Juan Navarro do my photography - he used to be the onsite photographer for ERC. I will include a link to my pictures for you to see. There are 1725 of them, but you can go through them pretty quickly to have an idea of how things are set up! Nayeli is the woman who is doing our ceremony (so you can put a face with a name!) ENJOY!! http://juanphotos.com/proofs/A&E http://juanphotos.com/proofs/A&E1 http://juanphotos.com/proofs/A&E2 http://juanphotos.com/proofs/A&E3 Our wedding video should be posted on the videographer's website soon. I will let post the link when it is up! You have all made an amazing decision by choosing to have your weddings at ERC. I would give anything to get to do it all over again! AliOle
  5. DON`T WORRY!!! I am going to make this short and sweet because I just got married at ERC last night and am enjoying my honeymoon. Nayeli is VERY busy with weddings and will get back to you as soon as she can. I found it most effective to resend your original email if she hasn´t responded after a couple days - you can also call her at the resort. It does get difficult to contact her via email because she is so busy but she is absolutely AMAZING!! My wedding was absolutely perfect and I owe it all to her. She made all of my dreams come true!! I will be getting pictures and video back shortly and will be sure to post it for all to see!!!! If you are planning a wedding at ERC you will be one of the luckiest brides in the world!!! Relax and enjoy the planning because it goes soooo fast!
  6. Oh yeah... I can personally email you guys the PDF files if you are interested in them. However, the information that I have will be a little different for you since you are getting married in 2011 and I think some of the prices have changed! If you email Nayeli and ask her for updated wedding information she should be able to send you updated sheets!
  7. Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't posted lately! We are getting married on March 28 and leave this Thursday so we are REALLY bust getting stuff ready to go! Let me know if I can answer any of your questions and I will be sure to keep everyone posted on how things went and any tips or advice! I am getting very excited!!!!
  8. Hopefully I can help answer your questions a bit! I am currently in the process of packing for our wedding/honeymoon at ERC!! Dress codes are very common at a lot of the higher end AI resorts. As far as I know from my site visit last fall, they do require that the guys wear long pants - khakis or jeans are ok. However, this is only for dinner. During the day, you can eat at any of the restaurants in swimming trunks, shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, etc. My fiancee is bringing one pair of jeans and two pairs of khakis (one of which is for our rehearsal dinner). They only wear them for a couple hours at night so he's planning to rewear a lot!! Let me know if I can help out with anything else! I leave on Thursday and get married next Monday so I will be sure to fill everyone in on all the details!
  9. It has been awhile since this thread has been active, but I wanted to post this in case you are still waiting for help!! I am getting married at ERC on March 28, 2011. I had been working with Ramon as well and was surprised when Nayeli responded to my email instead. So far she has done an awesome job of answering my questions thoroughly. She hasn't been very prompt with her replies, but I've learned that if she doesn't respond in 3 days... resend the email. She replies with a couple hours after I resend the same email and always apologizes for the delay in her response. I'm sure she is VERY stressed with taking over for Ramon. I visited ERC in September, visited with Ramon and saw all of their options. As for color scheme... they will have ANY color you want - seriously. I didn't believe him until I saw the huge book of fabrics. Not only do they have any color, but they have several types of fabrics as well! I had slight confusion with the bouquets I chose as Ramon told me the flowers would be included in the Gold package and Nayeli told me that I would have to pay a small amount because my bouquets include cybidium orchids. I let her know that Ramon had already okayed them and she honored that without question. My suggestion is NOT to freak out. After seeing the resort and meeting ALL the staff... they will make your vision a reality. I have a lot of information and will be happy to answer any questions that you may have. When I visited in September I spent a day at the spa... OMG! That was an amazing experience. The staff ther is awesome. I am going to trust them to do my hair and my make-up. I might bring my own make-up and will bring a picture of the hairstyle I want. I have heard great things about the hairstylists there. They are so eager to please that I'm sure they will work at it until they get it just right! I'm going to attach all the information that Ramon sent to me at the beginning of my planning process. Hopefully that will help!
