    Yes, we are still deciding if we want to do the cake cutting/speeches at the cocktail hour or the bonfire. I have to ask if we would be able to do them at the bonfire but as of right now it is planned for the cocktail hour. I don't know how people will feel about eating cake before dinner. I would much rather have it done in a more private setting because I am sure my MOH will have some embarrassing things to say about me that I don't want the world to hear:) Thanks for the heads up!

    i had a friend get married the same week as me and did not do a private dinner like i did. she had her wedding dinner in the italian restaurant and also did the bonfire after and at the bonfire she did her cake cutting and speeches and first dance and i thought it worked out really well!  the bonfire is very private - only your group will be there.

  2. sometimes she got back to me within a day, sometimes over a week went by - usually when a week had passed, i would email her again and she got back to me right away.  Calling her is a good idea like Maygan said.

  3. thanks!  i would love to see pics from other Jenna brides on here :)

    to answer your question, the bling is made up of swarovski crystal and pearls.  i ended up wearing bling dangling earrings made of swarovski crystals and my veil had a swarovski crystal edge.

    Do you know what the bling detail is of as I can't remember and am struggling to get jewellery etc as I can't think what it was. LOL

  4. I wore this dress for only a few hours for my “Trash the Dress†photo shoot on the beach in Jamaica. The dress did not actually get trashed at all, just wet! I washed it (delicate cold wash cycle and hung to dry) and it came out like new! It is a light weight, sexy, dress – perfect for a TTD, especially if you donâ€t want to ruin your real wedding dress (which is why I bought it!).  Or if you are just looking for a simple, inexpensive dress for your wedding (beach or other), this dress is perfect!

    I bought this dress brand new for $175 and am selling it for $95!

    The dress comes from the "Juno Dress Collection"

    Style # 768

    Cut # 441

    Color: ivory, satin like sheen

    size: medium

    street size: 6 - 8

    NO ALTERATIONS DONE!!!

    The length was perfect for me at a height of 5â€7 (I am 5â€6 and wore 1 inch heels).

    My measurements:

    bust 34-B- I wore a strapless padded bra and it was perfect. Bigger or smaller bust could also fit in this dress as it just molds to your body.

    Waist = 29 inchesHips = 38 inches

    Height = 5â€7

    PM me if interested!

  5. To all brides who got married in Jamaica - if you were single/never married at the time your wedding, what does your marriage certificate say? I finally got mine in the mail today 6 months after my wedding. i was so excited.  But i felt kind of jilted when below my name and above my occupation and age, it says my "condition" (meaning marital status before this wedding i assume) is "Spinster"  !!!!!!!  I was like WHAT?!  Spinster means old maid!     And below my husband's name (this is also his first marriage), it says he was a "Bachelor".

    I was 30 years old when I got married, i don't think that qualifies as "Spinster!" !!!!!

    I am curious if they do this for everyone, or is like age 30 when you become a Spinster in Jamaica?   I am curious to hear from married in Jamaica brides in their 20s and 30s.

    Thanks!

    I know this is a weird thing to get upset over and i am sure it will pass (I just opened the envelope like 5 minutes ago), but I really want to hear from others about this!

  6.

    Maggie Sottero Jenna wedding dress

    color: diamond white

    size 6

    street size: 6 - 8

    altered for height of 5"7

    **bust 34-B

    Waist = 29 inches

    Hips = 38 inches

    12 point bustle

    12-point bustle also inserted!

    CORSET BACK MAKES MEASUREMENTS VERY FLEXIBLE!

    ** My bust is 34-B, but I wore the dress with double cups inserted which will be removed - therefore the chest space is actually a lot bigger**

    I paid $1160 for dress + $650 for alterations + $300 for professional dry cleaning!! For a total of $2110!

    Selling for $600!! SHIPPING INCLUDED!!!!

    I never knew alterations would cost so much so now i think this dress is more valuable to someone with my measurements than before it was altered!!!

    Dress was like new after I cleaned it!!! ONLY flaw is that on my wedding day, a few threads got caught on my shoes - but you cannot see this AT ALL, as this only happened on the inner layers.

    Attached are pictures of me at wedding – front, back, and close up of detail.

    i posted a ton of photos a long time ago on my recaps thread here:

  8. i am going start with one through adoramapix and see how it comes out.  then maybe the other one through mpix.   although, i just did my honeymoon album through shutterfly and if i really like it, i might use it for parent albums, at least one of them,.

  9. thanks. i get what you mean about the book being about the wedding.  but i don't want to make two albums per set of parents! for myself, i  made an album of Jamaica + honeymoon and then i will have a separate wedding day album.    But for our parents, we wanted to get them albums by christmas and since it was like a big family vacation, i thought it would be fun to include some non-wedding pics from Jamaica. i just don't know if that's weird or not.

  10.

    Hello,

    I was wondering what other DW brides do for parent albums.  I am thinking to include pics from the whole week in Jamaica in addition to our wedding day.   What have you done?

    And would you think it makes sense to start the album with wedding pics or end with it?   (I am thinking start).  My other pics are from before and after the wedding.

    Last, what should i put on the front cover of a parent album?  a pic of me and hubby?  or something more generic, like a pic of the beach at our resort

  11. Nope.  i didn't do a cocktail hour as my ceremony was at 4pm and i had the dinner set for 5-7pm, then i did the bonfire party on the beach from 7-10pm.   no room for a cocktail hour as we barely had time for pictures!

    And i also found the liquor for $17 per person to be too expensive.  Open bar was included in the bonfire package, so for the dinner, i thought it was insane to pay an extra $17 per person for 2 hours! - they were not asking per hour for that though, just per person....   so basically, after several emails back and forth about this (i tried to ask for only wine, but they charged like $25 per bottle of wine!), we finally decided that i was bringing in my own bottles of wine (i had my friends help me by packing in their suitcases - i only needed 6 bottles), and they charged me $11 for a corkage fee for each bottle they opened and served during dinner.  so it was a bit cheaper that way.  The wedding coordinator even said this would be better because the wine i could get for cheap in the states was MUCH better than the cheap quality wine they would serve and charge $25/bottle for!

  12. they provided the white table linens.  I brought in my own purple napkins and chair ties though so i can set up my color scheme.  Otherwise, i think it would have been all white - but you know what? I don't think i asked if they have color napkins!!   I know they charge extra for the chair ties - $6 a tie actually!  and i bought both my purple napkins and chair ties for 75 cents each.  They set up everything for me though, which was nice. i just to give everything to the coordinator and i also printed her instructions on how i wanted my tables set up (as i brought in my own centerpieces as well).

    I hate to ask you, but where did you find your dress?!?! I love your dress cheesy.gif and maybe you don't want to share that... but I asked anyway LOL! Maybe you can point me in a direction to find nice custom bridal gowns.

    Thanks!!!

  14. Hi.  I did not pay for extra chairs, they give you as many as you need.  you pay extra for cake and champagne that is needed above what is included in the package. So when the package says its for 4, 8, 16 people etc, they mean there will be enough cake and champage for that number of people.   i still took the basic package and paid $100 for an extra tier of cake and i decided to just use the one bottle of champagne as not everyone in my groups drank alcohol.  However, at the dinner i was told that there were now two bottles included!  bonus!

    I did buy my own purple chair ties you see in my pictures as they were very expensive at the resort.  the white chair covers were included though, again, as many as you need.
