deesanders, They're wedding packages are pretty decent and if you're looking at about 40 guests they have an all-iclusive package that covers that. I'll e-mail it to you...

That's part of the reason why I steered clear of Majestic and their wedding package doesn't include a private reception and for the amount of guests I was expecting it would cost a lot to pay for privatizing the restaurant/venue and paying per person for dinner and drinks. Which really doesn't make sense that you have to pay extra for that at an all-inclusive! If I get the $119 rate plus the 6th room free I will be booking same day, and I will definitely let you know so you can get it as well. No reason for them to charge you more if we only have a difference of a week.

Acutie, I looked into the Majestic before and the only quote I can give you is not a group rate but for a couple for 7nights land with transfer is $1936. I guess that's about $138 pp/pn. Maybe the group rate would be better? Atleast you have something to compare it to... Hope that helps!

deesanders, I'm chatting with a bride right now that got a quote for Now Larimar for dates in Febuary (high season) for land and air including tax for 7 nights $1388 per person (group rate). You should get much less than that since yours is in august! Acutie, Let me know if you can work in the 6th room promo... Moniwoni, I'm sooo jealous! ha! Exciting stuff for you... I'm sure your wedding will be great, I can't wait for your review!

Acutie, Did you try this e-mail yet [email protected] ? I used it about 1-2 weeks ago but it bounced back, but maybe since their website is up and this is the email they provide for their wedding info it would work now? Oh and I'm pretty sure you can cancel as long as it's about 3 months before the date? so if you want to book, it's just $100 and they should refund if you cancel. It is really sad that it's possible we're going to pick another resort, I really love the Now Larimar but I hate to ask our guests to pay so much especially since they have been checking out the current rates. The reason I was drawn to this resort before was because it wasn't one of the "big name/ popular" resorts. I am excited of the Now take over but it's really important to us that the rates stay reasonable for our guests ass well. So right now the other resort that I'm looking at is Ocean Blue and Sand, which is also not that popular but I have seen great reviews from previous brides on facebook. They have an Ocean Blue brides group page, if you want to check it out... it also would depend on what you are looking for in a resort. Wow deesanders that's a lot more than what Acutie and I are being quoted! And your wedding is in August! That has to be wrong, If you get a quote from the resort directly you might get a better deal, unless ofcourse you're really wanting to switch resorts now... Do you have Ocean Blue and Sand on that list? That's the other place I'm looking into now. It's not a "big name" resort so it will be a plus as far as prices and I've heard good things from previous brides! So definitely considering... AcutieRn, I haven't had any issues contacting Emy either... Try to use the general "meetings" email also, maybe that would get you a response. I'm actually in the works of getting a group rate for another resort as well, just because of the group rate issue I've been having with them! It's really frustrating how they keep changing the price... I mean if you can give me the lowest possible price, just do it to avoid all the back and forth that takes a year! lol. AcuiteRn, I don't know if a week difference would affect the rate? It's driving me crazy, too! At first I got 116 then it went up to 126 then I said I thought it was less so now I got 119. I don't know I'm actually starting to look at other resorts all over again because when I was trying to book this as NH I was getting the introductory rate. I was excited with the change but if they're going to raise their prices because of the name? It's really starting to frustrate me

Oh and that 6th room promo, if you look on the Now website and click on the terms and condition of that promo you'll find that the promo is running for travels made from now to April 2013. So it's not ending anytime soon, unless I'm reading the whole thing wrong. So what group rate did you end up with? the resort sent me $119 pp/pn might be the best at this point for our month...

Exciting your ready to book! I'm still working out my group rates, I feel like it keeps going higher everytime I get a response back! I almost want to get married this year but today we hit our year mark, so this time next year I'm getting hitched! AAAHhhhh! You can always do a trial at the spa, if would help you feel comfortable using them for hair and make-up? I'm looking to book DJ Mania, as soon as I can figure out if the resort would allow it... Anyway, did you decide on a date yet?
