Love the style, wish I could help. The only stylists I've run across are the ones working in the Spa at my resort.  I have locs and want them styled for my special day so I'm going to see if they can do it.

Sounds like a plan, you'll love it!   My fiance and I booked at the Grand after absolutely falling in love with it this May.  A few guests will be at the Suites but for the most part people are taking a leap to enjoy the grandeur of the Grand.  :-)

Just a little note. As of today, 20 people confirmed plus the bride and groom.  8 people have completely paid but the other folks shouldn't be far behind! Can't wait for the Iberostar Rose Hall Grand on May 25, 2012!

Bridetwobe I'm so excited for you! I was at the Iberostar Rose Hall Grand and loved it soooo much that I moved my wedding from the Riu to the Grand!  It'll be fantastic!  The staff at the Iberostar resorts are out of this world. :-)

Hello Brides,

My fiance and I are getting married on a Friday at the Iberostar Grand and want to take guests on an excursion to Dunn's River Falls on Saturday.  Has anyone worked with tour operators or gotten quotes for a trip there and back?  Any recommendations, prices or contacts?  Thanks in advance!

I'm wondering if anyone with locs or braids is getting their hair styled on-site.  Our wedding package includes manicure, pedicure and hair styling.  It would make my life much easier if I could get this all done well at the hotel spa.

Mrs. T Gun, you're so sweet!  Thank you! My fiance has been telling people he had the best vacation of his LIFE at the Grand last week.  It was definitely our best time together and I am looking forward to our wedding next year.  Only the Grand had our date available and with May being the rainy month, we may be inside instead of on the beach so I'm ready!

Yay for the Iberostar!  I'm getting married at the Grand in May.  Anyway, I have locs and am thinking about some sort of updo for the wedding because I want to be cool on the beach.  They are fairly long now (between my shoulder and elbow) so I want a simple, yet elegant bun for the big day and may have it down that night. :-)

Ms. Millz!  I considered a video long ago before the projected costs/budget started increasing but this looks great.  Definitely a wonderful keepsake.  Do you have any details about this biz you can send me?  Like how long they will be on the island for your wedding, additional fees and things (like room and travel) you have to cover to work with them?

Friday, May 25, 2012.  Currently at the Riu, switching to the Iberostar Grand.  We fell in love all over again and had THE best weekend of our lives together at the Grand this weekend for a wedding.  We want to re-create the experience for our guests next year. 

Yeah its available online in almost all colors.  In the stores they only had the hot pink but my BM tried it on and ordered it in cognac.

I'm so excited!  Just returned from a beautiful wedding at the Iberostar Grand and now we are trying to move our wedding from the Riu to the Grand.  Our date is available and we sent over all of the necessary documentation so keep your fingers crossed!

I brought 2 of my BM's and we want around 10:45 so the craziness was over, there were plenty of dresses and we were able to grab dresses with no pressure. :-)

I got my dress today!!!! I went to the Running of the Brides in DC and saw my perfect gown.  I don't want to share my pic until I have it altered so I'll keep searching for the model one online.  I am so excited about how gorgeous it is and how it fit my idea of a dress perfectly.  Its an Alfred Angelo sheath dress v-neck with a plunging back.

Ok, I'm doing the Running of the Brides next Friday.  Hopefully, I will have a pic to post shortly thereafter.  Pray I don't get knocked out by an overzealous bride!

We haven't come to a consensus about when the babies will come yet.  He originally wanted to start soon after the wedding because his baby clock is ticking so loudly it keeps ME up at night (he's 34, I'm 25).  Now, we seem to like the idea of travelling and getting used to married life for a year before trying to make a baby.  We'll see!

I know you'd rather be sure in advance but you may be able to get some brochures from the Tourism dept once you arrive in Jamaica. The FH and I will be arriving 4 days before the wedding and will probably do a few last minute things like this on day 1. :cool:

I've been engaged since April 2010 anf tried on dresses for the FIRST time with my future MIL this past Saturday (2/12/11).  Now I'm hooked!  Going to another shop on Monday and doing the Running of the Brides in April. :-)

I really like this dress.  It would look great on 5 out of 6 of my BMs.
