  1. Hello Canmaya Bride, Someone may have already answered this..... Still catching up on all the new posts, but yes you can stay at one of the other Iberostar hotels on the property and have your reception at the Del Mar - it's the way we're doing it. I'm getting married on Dec. 10, 2011 (moved the date over, now I'm going crazy trying to finish all the details!!) My FI and I are staying at the Grand, and having the reception at the open air restaurant at the Del Mar
  2. Welcome back Erin!!! and congrats on being a Mrs!!! Wow what a story!! but I'm so glad the your day turned out sooooo perfect. And I'm glad to hear that the Best Man came through like a trooper!! I'm soooo happy for you, and thank you for the review, it was great, very, very, helpful!! I would love to see pics!! Can I PM you my name so you can add me on fb?? Again, Congrats on the wedding, and thanks for the review!! Ty
  3. Hey Kelly, Don't let those Negative Nancies at work get you down, and don't feel guilty about marrying the man you want the way that both of you want! All some people can do is complain, and try to make everyone around them miserable. I hope everything works out with your wedding planning!!! and feel free to vent anytime you need!!! Ty
  4. Hey Erin, Congrats girl!! Your day is fast approaching!!! I'm so excited, and it's not even me going ;-) I know you'll have the wedding of your dreams!! Thanks for replying to my post. My confusion came from my TA -Dennis (through destinationwedding.com) - He kept telling me that We have to have the wedding at the actual hotel that we were physically staying at. But after reading the posts of the ladies here, I was like 'Wait a minute, this is different than what you've been telling us' Anywho, I tried asking him again, and same answer, this time with a little chillier attitude. So I went directly to the source, I sent an email to Reyna, and she confirmed what you ladies have been reporting. That you can stay at any of the Iberostar properties (ex. the Grand), and have your wedding at one of the different properties (Ex. Del Mar). So I'm excited about that, because FI and I want to stay at the Grand, and have our guests stay at Lindo (some will be bringing children), and after reading the reviews here, I now want to have my reception at the Del Mar, so I'm going to book my wedding through there! I hope this explanation wasn't too confusing, but that was the problem, and after my TA's attitude toward me, I'm now in the market for a new TA. You ladies have any suggestions???? Thanks, Ty
  5. Hello Kroshka514, Just found this link, and trying to read all the posts, but I had a question for you: My FI and I LOVE the Grand, and want to stay there, but we were told by Reyna that we had to have our wedding at the resort that we were physically staying at. Is this incorrect?? Were you able to do it the other way? Because we would love to stay at the Grand and have our wedding at Lindo/Maya. Please let me know about your experience!! Thanks, Ty
