  2. I don't remember how much we paid, but we did one at El Dorado. It was awesome - and I don't recall thinking the price was crazy.
  3. I'm thinking about that too. How do you choose a photographer? I started looking around, you just don't want to end up with someone creepy!
  4. That is just silly. We're not having bridesmaids per se, but we each have a daughter that will be standing up. They're young, so no makeup, but I was planning on paying for them to have their hair done. Maybe not!
  5. We're going with the Spoons dinner. We figured everyone is already paying for the all-inclusive, so we didn't want to pay extra for a private reception. Still haven't decided on some sort of cocktail reception or something like that for when everyone arrives...

  7. We're getting married on 7/19, so 6:30 is what they told us for 'sunset'. I'm debating whether to fight them on it, or just move the ceremony back to 5:30. We've had so much hassle already with planning this, not sure I want to have any more Ladies-- my sister (MOH) finally picked out her dress today!! We are only having one person to stand for us on each side, so I let my sister pick out the dress and color she wanted. We decided on a bright orchid color, dragon fruit by Alexia. It's a brighter, beachier color than Alfred Angelo's purple and more similar to berry by Mori Lee. The pictures online don't do the color justice (unless you have a killer monitor, which I do not!). The closest thing online I have found is the home page for destinationweddings.com. Check it out the purple MOH dress on http://www.destinationweddings.com and let me know what you think!! I'm so excited that phase is over. I'm ready to start planning around that color now. Does anyone have any recommendations for flowers or should I stick with orchids? I hear orchids are ridiculously expensive, so I wasn't sure if anyone has other, more economical, options.
  8. We were planning a sunset ceremony on the beach, which we were told should be at 6:30pm. We were going to do the dinner at Spoon afterwards, but have been told the only seatings are at 6 or 6:30. Has anyone been successful in getting a later seating, or is everyone doing a private reception?
