  1. Hola Jessi, The answer is yes, you can use the chapel or beach for the ceremony and the Palapa Fiesta for dinner / reception. the only thing is that if you don´t have any group room block which means having at least 10 rooms during two nights you would pay a location fee which cannot help to your budget. If you like the Sheraton (which is gorgeous for weddings) I think you can arrange a group room block. The rates they offer for groups are much lower than the ones you can see at their website plus you can get many benefits. Also, you just need to place a deposit to guarantee the room block and that amount can be used later to pay your dinner/reception bill. Please, let me know if you need more information. Yesterday I got their 2011 menu from their sales manager and I have done many many, weddings there, so I can say I can guide you on this
  2. H i everybody! I have been wedding coordinator for many years in the Los Cabos Area. It is shame to me to read how afraid you are about my country and all the recently things have happened. There are things that we cannot take control of and in situations of emergency like this everybody tries to do the best we can in order to help our guests coming to our destinations. Talking about cancellations so soon could be not good as we don´t know how things will be in some days, weeks. But of course, people involved in the touristic ambience can understand how afraid you could be and you prefer to feel secure and with no stress while you are planning the most important day of your lives. Maybe you don´t have to forget about the idea of having a destination wedding in Mexico. Fortunately my country has lots of beautiful secured venues and Los Cabos is one of it. We live in paradise and all those horrible things you have heard does not happen here. I am very proud of living in this amazing part of Mexico and believe me, all the Cabo community do our best to make our tourist feel wonderful here when they are coming to our paradise. Actually we have a community called "Cabo Angel" which has been organized by regular citizens who are involved with the tourism and we are more than happy to take care of you. Kindly regards, Leoán Gómez [email protected] www.bridaldreamsincabo.com

  5. Hola Kimberly and Feebi, Fireworks is such a wonderful item you can have on your special day! You need to be very careful of the people you hire to manage this. If you are working with a wedding coordinator, trust her, because there are some permits have to be requested to the Mexican Government and not all the companies are allowed to do this. I think special items like fireworks needs to be handled by professional people and one of the wedding coordinator duties during the reception is to coordinate the timing. Nobody notice the staff which is working on fireworks during the reception, so I can tell you they set from a long distance, and there is no way they can see when you finish your first dance... Good luck!! http://www.bridaldreamsincabo.com
