  1. Hey Cabs! Wow- you did a lot already - that is great! My fiance has yet to buy an outfit :0/ and he only has 2 months left! lol but just like a guy to leave it unitl last minute... hehe. For food - The staff at the villa is able to cook and provide our breakfasts as long as i give them a list of things to buy ahead of time, for lunch and dinner, we opted to get a chef at the villa. So the cost for 2 meals a day is 600/day + the cost of the foods and for dinners likely they will have a helper there as well that we will have to pay by the hour. But the chef provided sample menues to me and i just sent them back my different dinner ideas. For lunch i'm leaving it up to him because for the most part we will be out and about, but i just wanted someone there in case some of us stay in and want some lunch made. Also the chef takes care of making us some mixed cocktails etc. I also opted to have the same chef cook our wedding dinner also instead of having it catered. We are only there for 5 days, so I have the chef booked for 4 days since one day ,we will probably have dinner out. Hope this helps - the foold planning for the villa is a bit of a pain because not everyone likes or can eat the same types of food. I'll keep you posted if i come across anything else that might be helpful to you. Happy planning!
  2. hey bklynbridetobe! Â im also in the NYC area i honestly just looked at at couple of websites and just searched for Anguilla villas. I knew i needed 6-7 bedroom and i wanted a private pool as well as beachfront so taht limited my search A LOT! then i looked at prices and tried to find some reviews on tripadvisor or anywhere else for that matter. i would have loved to stay at a hotel like viceroy or cap juluca, but then it was just too expensive for my family. So for me it worked out so much cheaper with villa that looks like it will be magnificent and then i am also going to hire a private chef to cook for us in the villa. feel free to email me on this site for more details
  3. Hey Cabs, Â Thanks! Congratulations to you too ! I didn't get a wedding planner b/c i figure i'm having a very small wedding - only 12 people total and did not want to spend the extra money - lol. BUT i realize now that planners are very helpful when it comes to these little details. how far along in planning are you? I am going with Susan Croft photography, and purple rose florist, food - i'm still getting details on.... we rented a 6-7 bedroom villa and i've never been there before so hopefully itis as nice as the pics seem. Hope all your planning goes well and we'll have to exchange details!! Good luck!
  4. Hi - i know this thread is old, but just wondering what month everyone got married in Anguilla and time of day? I am getting married there in december, but have no idea what time of day would be best to get the best pics.... any advice?
  5. Bon_Dia - i'm also getting married in anguilla in December. Very small though - only 12-14 of us in total. have you done a lot of research yet?
