Hi everyone! I am newly engaged. It will be my 2nd marriage. My first marriage was 15 years and a very miserable one at that. Got married too young and knew at the time we were not inlove. I did try though for 15 years until he traded me for a new model. Oh well, I began hanging out with a very good friend of 20 years after my divorce as he was being a great friend that I needed at the time. 1 night 9 months later our friendship went to a whole other level one night after a party and many drinks. Here we are now. Best friends getting married. So that is my brief story. Â I wanted a romantic wedding. Just the two of us and my 5 boys are absolutely cool with eloping because they did not enjoy their dad's recent lavish wedding at all. So we have searched and searched. Went from Eastern Caribbean to Cruise and now have our heart set on Cancun. We thought about staying at The Royal Cancun but for a lower price we can get a gran master suite at their sister resort next door and with that master suite we get a free wedding. Â I really do not want all the frills. We are doing the license here before we leave as my best friend is a notary. WOW the wedding sure are costly down there unlike Florida where we found one for $250 before we got on a ship which included everything from bouquet, cake, champagne and pictures. Â Are hotels the only way to get a symbolic ceremony with photos? I cant seem to locate any private organizations but 1 which was outrageous!!! Â Any second brides out there that had destination elopement that wore white? A white dress on a beach just seems so much more elegant than a dress of color. And well Ivory looks just like white. You really cant tell the difference. I certainly do not want to wear a princess gown but was thinking a long slip type white or ivory dress with halter or spaghetti straps with no frills. Is it taboo for second time bride to wear white still? Â Â Riu Caribe Real resort or They Royal are the AI resorts we are looking at. Â How about must go shopping and must do excursions?
