  1. Awesome pics Missy and Eric! I am glad you mentioned the idea about not having the wedding set up. I know there is a wedding the same day as ours at 1:00 and ours is at 3:00. Do you think that is enough time in between?
  2. Hey Katelynn Thank you for the suggestion about the seating arrangements. I definitely like the idea of putting the seating charts into picture frames. I think I will take the glass out and put them on the table when you walk in. Do you by chance have any pictures of how you had them arrange the tables? I know you mentioned it was one big circle. We have approximately the same number of guests so if you have a picture I would love to see it!

  4. Thanks lsmith! We have requested the Italian but Chandlyn told us we would know closer to the date. I like your approach with everything being laid back. We are definitely that way as well but we have so many different groups of people from various points in our lives joining us for the day that we thought making a seating chart would help everyone to feel more comfortable. When you think back to the Italian do you think you can put a seating chart up on the wall? We are also renting the gazebo and I am very excited about our dance party. I will be sure to make some playlists for the DJ to use! Thanks!
  5. Hi lsmith, I thought I would ask you a couple questions because I keep getting missed on here! - When did you finally receive confirmation of your restaurant? My wedding is exactly two months today and I was hoping to confirm the table/seating charts as soon as possible. We have close to 50 guests and have requested the Italian. Did you have dinner at this restaurant as well? - I am also wondering what the candles look like that are supplied by the resort? Chandlyn said she was going to send a photo but I just wanted to make sure I buy ones that look the same so I can utalize what they already have there. Did you get them to dim the lights for the dinner? I am hoping to get a really romantic feel by having lots of votives on the guest tables and tall candles at the head table. - Do you have any suggestions of ways to display table seating charts now that you have seen the facilities?

  9. Are u planning on putting the lanterns and luminaries at the gazebo? They sure would add a nice touch. I was looking at having some tiki torches but the candles would add a more romantic look for sure. I definitely want to have the tables at the reception lined with candles. Just not sure whether it is worth bringing them down or getting them from the resort. Any thoughts? Also I had one last question: have you had any thoughts about what song you will have playing when they pronounce you husband and wife? I am still trying to pick this one. Less than three months and we will be there!!
  10. Hi Girls, I have definitely been away from the blog for too long. We just finished our jack and jill so it is time to crack down on the wedding planning and get some thing finalized. I do have a question for anyone who has or is planning on having their reception at the Dolce Vita (given that we are confirmed). We have approx. 50 guests coming and I was wondering how many people you had/ or are planning on having at a table? Were the chairs covered or did you need to purchase chair covers for the ceremony and the reception? I really want to have candles on the table. What kind of options does the resort offer for this? Are any of you bringing down your own? Do the flames need to be contained or are any of you opting for the battery-operated ones instead? I did see the creative picture frames posted on here- awesome work! So many things to think about. We are getting married the 11th of July. 7-11-11 should be a date the hubby can remember!!
  11. Hi Girls, I haven't been on this in a really long time, although I have been reading it to stay updated. I just thought I would let you guys know that a guest who is going to be attending our wedding (July 11th) sent my fiance and I a message over the weekend that he heard the workers at the Gran Bahia in Runaway Bay have gone on strike. I contacted my travel agent to see what is going on. She did not know about it but said she would look into it, although it appears it has been going on for a couple of weeks? I am guessing Beverly's mysterious disappearance may have something to do with this. Has anyone heard about this?
