For the groom, try Macy's. They have a few choices right now in tan or white. Try Perry Ellis, INC and there is also another brand I cant remember right now.
The prices were good on sale (suit under $200). They also had vest choice
Hope this helps

Hi Ladies,
I am slowly working through my DIY list and I need to work on the labels for my First Aid Kits (for my OOT bags).
Can someone please let me know what size labels they uses for the first aid kits?
Thanks,
V -
Check out oldnavy for boys havana shits. That is where I got the one I needed for my 3 yo.
They also have larger sizes for boys in cotton (no linen for the bigger boy sizes).
For men's check JCPenny, Macy's....
If you live in NYC, you can ALWAYS find them in most men's stores in Washington Heights... this is where I got the ones for my teenaged son (2 X $50)
Hope this helps!

$100 per centerpiece (and not a really nice one) is way to much for me.
I decided to go DIY on these and bring my own.
I bought hurricane vases and tea light holders and will come up with what do with them - not there yet.
I have an army of people coming so I was not worried about how to get things there.

I also know you went with Rick York, did you modify either ceremony he sent to you or leave it pretty much as is?
I was also wondering what everyone is bringing decor wise vs. adding onto the packages you've choosen. I can't decide if it's worth it to DIY things like centerpieces, not really worry about it or choose from their selection and pay.

Queen,
I found the template on the forum but winded up just using it for size. I completely scraped the graphics and winded up making my own.
You can modify the template pretty easy.
I attached my template in PowerPoint, Hope it helps

Sure,
Here you go. It was really easy to modify. Just remember that you may need to download certain fonts if you want to use them to look the same.
Also if you are not printing at home. Make sure you create a PDF and bring that with you. Most print centers don't have fancy fonts.
I just noticed your date. If you decide to make these, you will be using them before me. My wedding is not until Nov 26, 2011.
I hope you enjoy!

Amazon.com for the badge holders. This how they are called:

Hello Ladies,
I finally found time to add a post on my incredible tip and key card holders!
First, thanks to all the ladies of the forum for posting your ideas. This has a been a wonderful experience so far.
I am not really crafty so I decided to start small, so I thought this was the perfect DIY project to start with. These are the materials I used:
- 3 sheets of cardstock
- vertical badge holders
- coiled key chains and the other kind of key chains (not sure what they are called)
- Rotary cutting board
I used a template that I found in the forum and modified it. Then printed my design on cardstock I purchased from paperandmore.com. After printing was done the rest was simple I got to cutting and stuffing the badge holders. Last I added the key chains I bought.
Here are a few pics.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.
Thanks,

Hi Ladies,
I am not happy with the pictures of the cakes the Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana has shared.
My family is from Dominican Republic. For us, the cake at any event, is a big deal and the focus of much to talk about EVERY TIME.
Anyway, I don't want an ugly cake since i have BIG plans for decorating my cake table.
The hotel said I could bring in my own if I wanted to. I also think that it would also be cheaper to get it done local. $5 a person seemed high to me based on local prices.
Is anyone considering this? If so, do you know of any local bakers that I should reach out to?
Thanks,
V -
Hello Ladies!
I am so happy with how my garter belts turned out that I could not wait to share.
I am really corny, so I wanted to incorporate some cheezzzy traditions into my wedding.
What better than the bouquet and garter toss?
Anyway, I decided to have a bit of fun with the garter belts and add a little touch that my FI would enjoy. He is the ULTIMATE NY Yankees fan.
I work near a Yankees store in NYC and one day just happen to walk in looking for a cap for my son. I noticed these NYY earrings and immediately got the idea to sew them onto the garter belts I got to match my gown.
Here is how they turned out.
Tell me what you think!
Garter Belt from David's Bridal $30
NY Yankees Earrings $6
ALL DONE!!!!!

No, I used the blank template from ayleebits.com and played around with the design. I used dingbats for the floral thingy on the sides (downloaded them from dafonts.com). Using a fond for "pictures" was so much better because you can change colors and size much easier.I created these in PowerPoint.

hellos ladies,
I turn to you yet again for support. I will be making MIB invites and am having a hard time finding the following:
tiny sand dollars
tiny starfish
Coconut Scent Oil
Mailing boxes/or tubes
Kraft Labels
Kraft shread
Most important - I need the wording for the invite. I have no clue where to begin with this part.
Any help you provide will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Ladies,
I am starting this thread hoping that past brides that have used HDC Photo would post their favorite pics.
Many of the DR brides (to be) have booked HDC because of the great reviews they have received in the forum but all the pics that have been shared are all over the place making it hard for those of us who are still planning to find samples of their work (other than what is on their site)
Anyway, I thought this would be a good idea...I hope you guys agree.
Share your pics please.....
Thanks,
V- 1

I found the charms on the Oriental Trading Company website. They also come in silver. They have nice charms and eyelets.
they were really cheap too $5 for 24 charms.

Just wanted to share that I did the same and bought my sashes, overlays and table clothe (for my cake table).
I thgouth that the prices at Dreams Palm Beach (in Punta Cana) were ridiculous!
You should check out cvlinens.com. They have great colors, great prices and ship fast.
Great to work with.
I wanted pintuck linens and they had the cheapest prices i could find out there.
Hope this helps!

Hello Ladies,
So happy that I am finally done with these. They were so fun to make and I am pretty happy with how they turned out.
I made orange ones for my FI side and blue ones for my side. His family calls him by his middle name so I made his side with that name. On my side and our friends call him by his first name; they got the blue ones.
These are the supplies I used:
1. Metallic cardstock and envelopes from http://paperandmore.com/.
2. Rotary Cutting Board
3. Scoring Bone
4. Double Sided Tape1/8 inch
5. Eyelets and Setting tools
6. Elmer’s Glue
7. Double Sided Satin Ribbon
8. Starfish Charm
9. Corner rounder punch
I had these printed at Staples and it was really cheap and totally worth it! The colors came out really nice.
Some Tips:
1. If the double sided tape does not keep your cardstock in place because it is too heavy, just apply a bit of plain old glue. It did wonders for me.
2. MAKE MOCK UPS!!!!! Before doing the real thing. It helps, trust me.
So here they are, please let me know what you think:
-
Try oriental trading company. They have a few choices and they seem reasonable in price
-
I heard back from HDC and they said that the hotel got so many complaints they took the rule away.
That was one thing I was ready to complain about ALLLL the way.
I am still waiting to hear from Melani though. She has not responded to me yet.

Hi ladies,
Yet once more I turn to you for assistance.
I am done with my boarding pass STD's - I think they turned out OK but they are three pages.
Now I need to decide if I should staple them together or use an eyelet to keep them together.
I am really leaning to not doing any of the above because i feel the jacket will do a good job of keeping everything together.
What do you guys think?
Thansk,

Ok, so because i am really short i wanted to find a wedge flip flop with some height.
I have been looking for a while and recently saw they have a nice ivory pair on the David's Bridal site (but they only sell them in store).
They are called "sprinkle" and the best thing is that they only cost $25. I have been calling the store closest to me every week trying to find them (s9nce they are new).
Everything else i found on the web for a similar flip flop was about $50. i cant see paying that much for a pair of flip flops i am not going to wear again.

No umbrella, without it, the invite has more vintage feel.
Really nice job
