I did not know you could take things out of the package either! But if you do not want to go with that package it is either only $25 or $30 (I cannot remember the exact price Maria told me) to add the flowers along the aisle to any package so I hope that helps. I am getting married on December 18th and I looked up sunset on that day and it is 5:12pm so I moved my ceremony from 5 to 4:30 but I think it needs to be moved even sooner now! I was worried about heat but average temps are only in the 70's in December. Where have you ladies chosen for your dinner?

I am not sure what is going on with the main pool. Sandos is my friend on facebook and alot of people were commenting about it closing in the next few weeks so wondering if any of you knew what was going on. Wasn't sure if it was weather or remodeling..... Has anyone been during the winter time and the main pool was closed?

Hey ladies, I do not want to sway you away from the resort photographer by any means, I just do not feel like it is worth using him. I'm going off of all the reviews of the resort photographer on this site and I had Maria email some sample work and I was just not impressed for the price. You also only get the prints unless you pay a couple hundred more to get the cd of the pictures whereas Octavio's for example (and many other local photographers) include the prints and a cd for less money and better quality. It does not hurt to check around. Â Has anyone decided on the 4 songs you will be using for the ceremony? Â

Yes I was very impressed with Octavio's work and prices. I am not sure of the resort photographer's name. With my bad luck, I sent out my invites on the same day those killings happened in Cancun so now I have some very scared people... :-(

Yes you have to pay a day pass ($77) for them but I think it is worth it because you get so much more for his price versus the resorts photographer where you don't even get a cd of the pictures without paying a couple hundred first. The resorts charges $150 for 10 photos and no cd. I asked Maria and you cannot even make copies back home because they are copyrighted. Octavios prices start at $250 with cd and all prints included.

Hey everyone! I am glad to see there is a little more going on in the forum now. I'm getting married at Sandos Playacar on December 18, 2010. Ah! My fiance and I met there when we were 12 and 13 years old so figured it was the perfect place to start our life together. Others feel differently but oh well. Â I know you guys were talking about photography, have you had Maria email you any pictures done by the resort photographer? I wasn't all that impressed but then again I am all about my pictures! But I did find Octavio Montes who has amazing work with a quarter of the price of all the others plus I think you get the disk and printouts. Resort photographer just seemed pretty expensive to me also for what you get. Â Hope this helps ladies and I look forward to chattin' with yall!
