Well we were married on the 17th but not without some hiccups. The venue was changed to the Spa since rain was in the forecast and it did rain pretty heavily throughout the day. The Spa was still a great location, pictures are here http://www.sundberg.ca/photos . After all of my complaining they gave me the speaker system and microphone for the Reception, I brought my ipod and had my laptop so people could pick whatever music they wanted and just played some slow music during dinner. Some people also provided their own MP3 players which made the music selection awesome. We paid an extra $850 for flowers (this included the table centerpieces @$35 / table), by the pictures you sure couldn't tell. They tried to charge us $240 for an upgraded bouquet that was already priced at $90 from Tia florists (talk about a markup). They missed some corsages and actually gave us a makeshift corsage that the just pulled out of the flower arrangement . After some complaining we managed to get a whole $35 back. Vincent the minister was awesome, you will have a memorable ceremony with him. Make sure that you have everything that you requested when you meet with the wedding planner and confirm it when you meet with her. The GP is a great resort, I'm not sure that I would recommend having your wedding there with all of the extra costs (chairs and dinner) but the resort is amazing. Service could be improved, but we were there during a lull in the season. The food and friendliness of the staff was amazing. Hang out at the Sunset Cove and stuff yourself with the jerk chicken you wont be disappointed. If you have an issue with anything make sure you let someone know, we continually had bars running out of alcohol which is unacceptable for an all inclusive.
