    OUR WEDDING PHOTOS 900+!!!

Jhankarlo was a photographer we met two years ago when we went to visit Mexico to pick a venue. While we were at our resort we saw there was a free photo session and we figured why not weâ€re going to use these photos for our engagement pictures.

From the day we met him, it was an absolute pleasure! He was hilarious and made us feel so comfortable and genuinely an amazing guy. A few months later I got his name (it was a tough spelling) and I found him on facebook. He had at the time left the company that the hotel uses and I just knew I still had to have him regardless. For 2 yrs we stayed in contact on Facebook and a few months before the wedding he gave me a contract and we just went with the flow of things and he couldâ€ve totally flaked and even without a deposit, but he didnâ€t. This is how sincere and genuine this guy is. He made an amazing package for me and the price, OMG, very fair, nothing ridiculous like what most companies charge.

Jhankarlo came with an assistant and she was so sweet! We even met 2 days after at 6am near the hotel (we rented a car, since he doesnâ€t drive) for our Trash the Dress session. It had to be super early because he wanted to catch the sunrise. My photos are beautiful and speak for themselves. Did I mention he does underwater pictures? & has shot for Del Sol before? I loved him so much, Iâ€d fly him over to the states if I ever have a big event again J

Here are a few of our favorites.

I don't regret lace whatsoever! It's classy & elegant! I wasn't hot in it, at all. I only had 2 layers of tulle, it had 2 extra when I first purchased it. Toward the end of the night with all the dancing and all, it did start getting a bit warm down under lol. but lucky me got her cycle the 2 days before the wedding =/ so my body temp might've been off. ALSO, I applied lotsa kama sutra suckling honey dust powder :) smells delish! Plus, I couldn't bustle the back- no one knew were the hooks were at and another might've ripped somewhere. So the weight of the dress might've added to the heat.

Thank you for your kind words!

  3. Just got married! (1wk ago today...) Am hoping once things settle down (moving, starting back work, getting used to married life..haha) I will get to write a more detailed post about my wedding and various vendors. Plus, I'm waiting back from pics/video to give you guys some wonderful recommendations. I'm MORE than happy I had outside vendors (5! DJ Doremixx, Eventos Euforia, Jhankarlo Photography, Cinematic Riviera Maya, and CancunD), since I wasn't content with the resort at all on their services, except the waiters that served our guests, the flowers (MOH bouquet and centerpiece only) and the cake that was delish!

Meanwhile if anyone has any urgent questions, I'm more than willing to help!

Within the next few weeks, latest 1month I will write an actual review!!

  4. Hi everyone,

I'm having a bit of an issue right now with the outside vendor charge. Originally the WC told me she would only charge me $300 one time, regardless of the other vendors. Now as I filled out the form, she is requesting I pay $300 per vendor and day passes for my photographers. So I have Eventos Euforia, DJ Doremixx, CANCUND, and my photographer...1200$!!! Is she nuts or am I? I definitely would not have gotten so many diff vendors if I knew she would later change this.

    I can't handle anymore expenses :(

  5. Your pictures are great! Do you know the name of your photographer? I've finalized 70% of the wedding in regards to location, DJ, photographer, and additional event coordinator which I went with Denise Courtney from Eventos Euforia. I am beyond excited, in a nutshell, lots of black magic roses, cigar roller, fireworks! Now I just hope my photographer snaps photo's of all the lil details. Almost 7 months to go.. eee!

  6. If you confirmed in 2011 there should be no reason they can change that for you. I hired my own DJ so I'm glad I can use it probably for violin or guitar, not sure which would sound best on the beach. Sandra told me I could before she left because I was confirmed before the change was made.

The new 2012 packages do not include a DJ anymore.  It says it now at the bottom of the packet.  Instead it includes 45min of guitar, violin, or saxophone.  I asked if I could substitute that out for an hour of a DJ, but they said no.

  7. I'm glad you had a great time! I've had several nightmares about my wedding and that it went all wrong lol and I seriously think I can have a panic attack if it does. Right now we're planning for 5pm wedding. I don't want it to be sunset, but I don't want my guests to roast either. I may change it to a little earlier actually (I want to be in my dress from 12am that day lol!) But I have been nervous about decor and everything going perfect and maybe it's because I'm close (not too close, 8mos. away) and idk. The dreams dont help. I really wanted to work with Yazmin since I don't know Anel and her work. Unfortunately Yazmin has just passed my "requests" to another one of her workers and after 2months they were still not able to give me a proposal for what I requested and there is a lack of communication. I feel like contacting Yazmin again but I am extremely disapointed with her workers service. So I requested a quote from Euforia Eventos and their prices aren't too bad and it seems that the communication is wonderful, responses in 2 days and she understands (or seems to) understand my vision.

As far as the resort is concerned, I really loved it there and the authentic feel while I was there. It was relaxed and I considered it small because we didn't get lost (as opposd to others we went to see).

I'm not a modern girl so a lot of the other resorts turned me off. I liked the privacy of the Now Sapphire, having the private beach then private ceremony after. Plus, they're a family resort and in all honesty, I love my family and would not seclude any little ones :)

The basics from my package I am going to utilize, but I am hiring my own cigar roller, fireworks, and DJ. I am going with a more romantic feel with the relaxation of beach. I just have so many ideas lol I must condense and not over-do it.

Please share pictures of your wedding if possible, or if anyone has seen any reviews of euforia eventos, I'd appreciate it!

  8. Wow that's a wonderful and extremely flattering gown :)

I will admit I am freaking out a bit, not having full control over this process is completely daunting to me.  We had a little bit of a rocky start with communication with the resort but things seem to be going a bit smoother now. I have read so many reviews on here that really helped ease my nerves so I am very quickly becoming a huge fan of this site.

This is the company they use, I believe Miguel Cantrell (spelling off). Hope that helps :)
