During my wedding, Nicole and her assistant guarded the beach so people wouldn't walk through my ceremony. The photo/video people were working no time to sit.

Beyonce revealed her pregnancy yesterday on the VMA's and I'm really happy for her and Jay but for some reason and I'm also a tad bit jealous. Maybe because I wouldn't mind being pregnant lol. In due time....
As far Beyonce, it took long enough!
-
Yup, I just felt extra old.
-
Yup I actually literally LOL'ed

modern
infants or toddlers?

I would never get married any other way.

If money was no object, (I know this is blasphemy) I wouldn't have had a DW. My wedding would have been in an all-white loft in midtown manhattan with 250 guests with royal blue decorations. I would have John Legend sing me down the aisle ( I had someone sing his song instead) and my reception would be more of an all star concert. Just saying.... BTW, I loved my wedding and the price in JA!!

Dislike, too old to Trick or treat.
Chihuahuas?

I'm 27 and behind my schedule, my goal was pregnant at 26 but then we pushed the wedding back and now we are going on vacation to Dubai next year. I think after New Year, no more BC. If it happens, it happens. I really didn't want to be pregnant on such a big vacay, but I'm tired of waiting. If we weren't going I'd start now.

The sand was fine, I purchased wedges but the sand was getting in my shoe and getting irritating so I took them off after the ceremony for the pictures. I didnt even notice the sand, so it was not hot at all. -
No it was just me, everyone else was too cheap lol.
They are allowed, my godsister came and she is 12.

NO TTD Hubby wasn't willing to get his clothes wet lol

Has anyone else been asked to cover her room for the night if you are doing the TTD the next day?

I think this is the smallest, i never saw it but it was booked anyway so it couldn't be privatized for my wedding.

No down payment, just touch base with her before you leave if you don't hear from her. She contacted me about a week or 2 beforehand.

Second ques.- For the a la carte restaurants, I wonder if I could just reserve it for my entire group or if it has to be done individually by guests.
Thank you!!
Happy Planning!
The welcome dinner should be free you just need to make reservations ahead of time. You can either reserve for them or have them do it themselves.

You looked beautiful! Sorry about the privacy issue. I completely understand. I only have about 12 guests coming so i wont be able to have a private event either. How did the Music Bar work out for you? Was that private or are other hotel guest loitering? What did you do during dinner? How was the mood? The tableware/china.. did you provide those or did the hotel?
The music bar was great, we privatized it for $350. For dinner we just ate and everyone mingled, the mood for everyone else seemed relax, i was on edge because we were running late and we only had the music bar privatized til 10:30 (we didnt finish dinner until 9pm) The hotel provided the tableware and used my centerpieces.

That totally sucks that you couldnt have a private reception. Sounds like everything worked out ok though. So stupid and annoying that rule. And you had 2 extra guests (from Jamaica) show up? I know another bride who got married at the beach resort and had OVER 20 people show up (from jamaica) She was FREAKING OUT. She already had over 100 ppl so it was crazy. Seems to be a cultural thing. LOL
Yes, May is definetly busier than December (my wedding month) - but its still a day-to-day thing. Like my resort was completely booked for the dates of my wedding trip - some friends who wanted to take the same plane as us couldnt cause they were totally booked - up to the day of my wedding. Then it slowed down a bit on my wedding day (it was a friday)
Definitely is a cultural thing!
I did my hair myself and Rashel Edwards did my makeup. Chasity Artistry on facebook
We did the rehearsal during the day. Nicole arranged that.
The mango disco walk was pretty large, it's bigger than the music bar and the music bar was large for my 33 people. We pretty much just used half of it.
5pm was good, I actually showed up late so we didn't have much sunlight left for pics, 4:30pm would be good.
-
Thanks! The music bar booked private until 10:30 cocktails and DJ included. I didn't know about this until we got there, but it worked out well. I would suggest confirming everything before arrival, no surprises!Originally Posted by daisymable
Congrats Mrs. Smith! I am now very worried about not getting a private reception. This is SO important to us. Did you have the music room booked out privately for cocktails or something? Had Nicole told you that you could do this via email or over the phone? How would you suggest confirming this so that there are no surprises?
It looks like you had a beautiful day, the beach set up was gorgeous!

Thanks for all of the information, I am sure there are many of us that benefited from your posts. At the end of the day, the most important thing is to remember the great things about your wedding and enjoy the start of your lives as Mr & Mrs Smith!!!!
I'm off to read your review and CALL Nicole now, as I too am totally willing to just pay for 50 people (currently we only have 20 booked and 47 that RSVP'd yes).
Congrats again.

The meditarranean was booked as well. We still decorated with centerpieces and candles and it was beautiful. I didn't get near water beofre the wedding couldn't get my hair wet lol. I had a welcome party and the lobby bar and we went to Margaritaville afterward and or rehearsal was at Aunt Ruby's and the girls and guys separated after that.Originally Posted by BridetwoBe
Mrs. Smith,
Did Nicole give you an option to switch to the Meditarranean restaurant or was that too booked as well...I think the info says 25 minimum. Doyou think that is a better alternative for smaller groups.
If a reception was semi private do you recommend still decorating?
Did you get in the pool the days before the wedding? I will be there 3-4 days before the wedding as well. How did the days before the wedding come out?
