  1. Thanks taylorwd! Although if something goes wrong it will all be my fault lol!!!! Going to go back to the TA & get her to double check, I am convinced it must be a mix up! x

Their policy is that you have to get married and have your event at the resort you're staying at, no switching. We are from UK, so only have our TA from Thomson UK here, so haven't got a WC or anything yet. I didn't think they would let you switch either & hoping its just a miss-communication between Thomson's. Your photo's are stunning BTW, looks like you had an amazing day! P.s its not actually me getting married, its my sister-in-law! I am maid of honour/wedding planner/everything else! She is afraid of computers so I am trying to get as much info from your girls as I can for her!! x x

I think the private events at sensatori require a minimum amount (more than the group you have) but I thought you could have a semi private event at the Spoon with up to 40 people. I hope this gets sorted out and I would question them as to why they are moving you. I know I think its really strange! Do you (or anyone) know how far away Azul Beach is to Sensatori? Don't get me wrong I am sure it is beautiful at Azul Beach, just think its a bit of an inconvienience more than anything! We arn't bothered about it being private or anything as having a massive AHR, but just seems a bit odd!?! Wow! Down to 1 month on your ticker, bet you are really excited!
  4. Whooops! Thats supposed to be 22nd June 2011!! Getting too carried away wishing it was this year not next!!
  5. Hi Ladies, We have booked! We fly out 22nd June 2010 - not got the confirmed wedding date yet, but hopefully 29th or 30th June! Soooo excited! This thred is just amazing & you ladies are all soo helpfull, thinking of Katie & Amy, hope all is going as the imagined! Just wanted to check something our TA has said, we have booked a beach cermony @ Sensatori, with the gold wedding package, but she has said that we have to have the reception at Blue International restaurant @ Azul Beach?!? Can't really understand why this is? Only have a small party 9 adults & 1 child (incl bride & groom) so not like we can't fit into one of the many reception areas at Sensatori!? Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Thanks girls & happy planning!
  6. Hi girls, Thank you sooooo much for your info so far! I am finding it so frustrating allready! I organise events in the UK for a living & have planned a few of my friends weddings & my own & I am a total control freak! This is the first DW I have orgnised & I can allready see it is going to drive me mad, leaving everything until the last minute! With regards to the BBQ, if it is minimum of 30 what are the options for a smaller party reception (ie our 12 guests?!) ideally would like somewhere private for speeches etc is there somewhere available & if anyone has a resort map or pics of the areas available please can you email them to me: [email protected] Thanks again guys! K x

You would either have it at Spoon or not at all, the beach BBQ would be extra and on a per person basis. I could give you the prices based on this year but it won't be the same for 2011. Hi KittenHeart, Thanks for your reply! If you could let me know the prices for this year, at least that gives us something to work on! I am still reading the posts! Managed to get to page 163!! Will get their eventually!! x
  8. Hi ladies, I am planning my sister-in-law's wedding in Mexico next year (June 2011) and she has fallen in love with the azul sensatori. I have got bits of information from our TA & from the Karisma website & then stumbled across this forum, I have started from the beginning (!) and only just managed to get to page 100! So I do apologise if these questions have been asked before, but hoping you could help us before we decide to book. As we are flying from UK there will only be around 10-15 of us so just wondering what options would be available for her reception. Her ideal would be: Have the beach setting for ceromony around 4pm ish Followed by cocktail hour with canope's 5:30 - 6 Followed by a private BBQ with torches on the beach about 6/7pm. Would all this be possible at the Azul & does anyone know how much it would cost. I have been reading up on the wedding packages available & it says that you get a meal for 40 in the Spoon restaurant included, would she be able to have the BBQ as a substitute for the meal? Any help or advice or contacts in the hotel would be appreciated. Thanks ladies & good luck with the planning! K x
