  1. Finding this forum has eased my worries just a little bit! Plus I think I got lucky with my WC….I can send her a long list of questions and she will usually respond within the same day, or the next day. She has been wonderful!!! I am only 57 days away from saying “I Do†and I am SO excited! I am slowly working on my vows…it has proven to be a little harder than I thought. I ordered lots of stuff in the last week, so I will be excited to check the mail everyday! I am especially excited about the Palm Hand Fans we ordered and got in the mail last night. I found them for a $1 per-fan, and they are great! With a May 21st wedding, I wanted my guests to have something to keep them a little cooler! We are going to wrap the handle in ribbon and put a thank you tag on it. I asked the WC if we could put them on the chair prior to the wedding starting, and she said that was fine. We also have a guest book, and she said she would request a small table to put at the entrance of the gazebo. I am getting so excited! Jo&delo good luck! Can’t wait to hear your review and see you pictures!!!
  2. Just wanted to post a picture of my save the date that we sent to family and freinds. They are magnets and everyone loved them!!!
  3. This is a question to all the past MP brides…. How was the blood-draw? I work in a hospital....so I am just wondering how well it went down there. I would say of everything, this is what I am most worried about. I don’t mind giving blood at all….but I’m a little worried about giving it in Mexico!
  4. Thanks for the tips on the sand unity. I will look into sending it home as a carry on with someone from my family when they leave a few days before us. I found the satin chair sashes for .85 cents each at ..tableclothsfactory.com. Someone had posted them as a recommendation and they are the best price I have found. They said it wouldn't be a problem to put them on before the wedding started. We are only have 18 people there with us, so it won't be to hard to do right before. I think I have decided to stay with the free pakage and keep the free flowers. I can't bring the flowers home with me, so I might as well not pay extra for them! LIke someone else said before, add up your extras and see if it is worth upgrading. I have priced around on the sand unity sets...didn't realize how expensive they would be. I found one I really like at ...groomsshop.com. It's a destination one, personalized for $42.49 (w/o S&H). If I don't do that, I might try and find something at hobby lobby and just do on myself.
  5. I will be gald when all the snow is gone! With the sand....are you planning on just re-doing it for display when you get back home?
  6. I'm from Kansas City and we got 9in of snow on the first day of spring...so I have taken this morning and have been reading though all the pages. I think I have decided to not upgrade my flowers and spring for the horse drawn carriage! I'm getting married on May 21st, 2010...anyone else getting married that day or weekend? We will be there from 5/17 - 5/24. Still wondering about how everyone did the sandy unity ceremony.
  7. Thank you! I actually came across here because I asked my wedding coordinator what gazebo I was in. I will be in the Tucan Gazebo and when I searched it, I found this site!!!! Most of our upgrades are just in the flowers. I also can't decide on if I want to do the Horse-drawn carriage or not! I am excited I did purchase my chair bows yesterday as well as palm leaf hand fans. With our wedding being in May, I thought everyone might enjoy the fans! Our on-site weddding planner Cristina has been wonderful. She gets back to me within a few hours. I haven't had a problem with her yet. Here is a question to all past (and future brides). Has anyone used or is using a sand unity set during their ceremony? I would like to do something, and Cristina said the sand works better than candles because it does tend to be windy. I was just wondering if they traveled ok with it. Did you have to redo it once you got back home?
  8. Hello Everyone! I am SO glad I came across this site! I am getting married at the Moon Palace in just 2 shorts months! I am ready to go and hope it is everything we have dreamed of! I am still planning away and am working the on-site wedding coordinator right now on all the small stuff for the wedding down there. Then once we return home, we are having a reception for our extended family and friends. We have about 20 people going with us to Mexico. I am trying to decide on flowers right now. I have done lots of searches for "moon palace wedding pictures" and found so many beautiful ones! We are doing the complementary package with a few upgrades. Our on-site planner has been wonderful. Anything I ask her about, she says we can make it work! I came across one post of a bride that gave a wonderful review the other day and wanted to pass on this info if someone didn't have it yet. We are going to do chair bows and tablecloths-chair covers- table linens-sashes wholesaler has some great prices. Happy planning everyone!!!!!
