I tried it on and the fit is perfect- it's a little snug which is good because I have about 5 lbs to lose before my wedding and when I sent in my measurements I took a 1/2 in off my hips and waist knowing that I had that weight to lose. There are couple places that don't seem to lay quite right but from what I can see it seems like an issue of needing to be pressed/steamed and not with the actual workmanship. I'll try to post pics as soon as I have someone to take some.

  2. Wow, it's gorgeous!!!  I'm so happy for you!  Too big and too long seems to be the theme... at least it's better than too small and too short!

Okay so here's mine.  Got to my mom's and we laced it up but seems to be a bit big but that's okay.  Nothing that my very best friend the seamstress cannot fix for me.  It's also way too long.  Keep in mind I'm in bare feet and will be wearing 4 inch shoes.  However, that being said, I think I'm going to have her remove the entire bottom ruffle.  Each one is separate, so again no problems.  The dress has no flaws. None.  Like I said I'm more than pleased with it.  This will be my reception dress, so a few inches in on the side and a few inches shorter and I will be good to go.  Thoughts? hope this works okay with the pics.

  3. The first link still works; thanks for sharing!  I just ordered a free t-shirt, hat, tote bag, poster, pen, sticky notes, notebook, note pad, key chain, and return address labels for $34 in shipping.  I made father/mother of the bride and mother of the groom stuff to put in their welcome bags.  I'm going to use the return address labels to put on my RSVP envelopes so I don't have to hand-write my address a million times.  It's awesome that the image uploads were free too!  In a different order, I also made bridesmaids shirts for $2.66:

The last couple nights, I cannot get on here there is so much traffic.

Anyone even considering Monica Bridal, go for it.  You will not be disappointed.

  5. Yeah, they wanted $360 for mine and it's not that complicated either!

Besides the ruching, that dress isn't all that complicated...I wonder why the price is so high?

At this stage I am just getting quotes and samples of fabrics, but they are the highest so far!

  6. I received the photo of my dress from Monica Bridal.  They only sent a photo of the front which makes me a little nervous; I requested a pic of the back which hopefully I'll receive soon.  I asked for a different neckline so you'll notice it is different than the inspiration dress.  The only other difference I see is the way the skirt is gathered, but I don't think I necessarily like it less than the inspiration dress.  What do you ladies think?  Any changes that you would suggest?  Thanks!!!!

P.S.  Why does their workshop look like the house of a hoarder?!  Lol

  7. I already purchased my lip balm for my wedding weekend survival kits, but if I hadn't I would be all over this deal!  Nivea lip balm with SPF 4 is on sale at Walgreens for $1.00:

    http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/nivea-a-kiss-of-moisture-hydrating-lip-care/ID=prod5502135-product

And you can get coupons for $2 off 2 Nivea lip care products here for just $.15

Thus, they come out to about $.08 per lip balm.  Note that the coupons expire on 11/3, so I would order soon!  You may also want to check your local Walgreens first to make sure they are on sale in your area and find out when the sale ends.  I got coupons for my first aid kits on that coupon site so they came out to less than $.10 each!

  8. Thanks for sharing!  I got enough coupons to buy 51 kits... it took a while to find a store where these sold for $.99 (they sell for $1.59 at my local grocery store), but I finally found these at CVS for $.99 and got my first three for only $.07 since they still want you to pay the sales tax.  Be aware that you could have some issues since the coupon is for $3 off and the total only comes to $2.97 before tax; my cashier figured out a way to make it go through, but I can foresee a not-so-nice cashier making a big deal about it.  Anyone else who is planning on getting those coupons should act fast since they expire Nov. 30th.
