You should have a blast. We got married in PV last year and loved it. I would assume you are having a wedding planner at the facility organize everything in Mexico. However, there's tons to do beforehand, so I'd recommend to check out some blogs for ideas and use some tools at the Knot or some other site to organize the guest list and your budget. There's also lots of blogs running contests these days (and many of them only have 10-15 people entering) so I would check those out (like offers like this wedding planner software). Hello everyone - I recently got married in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in November 2009, and wanted to share my experience and knowledge with people here. First off, I would definitely recommend a destination wedding because it the the ultimate wedding/honeymoon experience, and you get to share it with your friends and family (although I would recommend staying at your destination a week longer by yourselves so you get some true time alone). I started a wedding website / blog about our destination wedding experience, plus since I'm a guy I wanted to give a groom's perspective on the wedding planning thing, so hopefully that can be of use to people in the forum, too.
