I look yucky here and was clenching my muscles because of how cold I was, so my arms look extra buff and I'm not feeling my pretties... but I looooove the backdrop!

i paid for two photogs to stay two nights and I did not get charged a fee (however, this was a little bit ago when they started trying to charge people for outside photogs.. I would just tell them they are your guests (which they are if they are attending your wedding and you are feeding them, so it's not lying).  Say we do not want to use the photographer and are relying on guest photos (you also should get to credit that to something else... I added to my video) Claudia and her team are very helpful but have to follow rules from the resort, so as long as you make it easy for them to say yes (and bring along documentation as proof), they will do whatever is in their power!  Almost done working on all my reviews ladies!  Way too late I know, but I'll send the links when I'm done!

  6. Hello all! I'm hoping to find some help with adding some vendors, especially my photographer (also,my butterfly/dove release and marraca vendors and maybe some sites where I bought favors). When I click "add" I am told to contact an admin. I know from previous experience to navigate the help section first (the tutorial on adding content was deleted when I clicked on it). When that fails, do a search (i did find one other thread asking the same question, but no one responded to her and it was posted a while ago, so I tried bumping it). So, this is my next step before contacting an admin directly. I want to make sure I follow the rules and not create to much clutter on here :-) I really want to review her! I found her through another bride's (Joanna and Lance) review in the old reviews and would love to give other brides a chance to experience her craft. I have a few of her pics in my boudoir review (posted back in the old review style) and in my resort review, but as she's not the resort's photographer (i hired her from the states and she has her own company), it would be hard for anyone to find her on here unless they were looking at that resort. Plus, I havn't posted my awesome TTD and romance photos yet and the review would be a perfect place. Thanks to anyone who can help or direct me to the right answer in advance!

  7. What an awesome idea!  I heard of people giving stuff beforehand but I could never find a way to do it that wasn't awkward, but this idea is great!

don't worry, the hyundai link still works (the first post) and that's the most important.. the facebook link is just an easy way to click on the hyundai page every day.  lets see if this works.  Btw, thank you so much for voting already!  I vote every day!  i even go to the local starbucks and vote there because each network can vote once per day!  Here's hoping!

  9. Hi all. I haven't been on in so long. Things have been crazy for do long. Shortly after we got married this summer, my hubby and i were on a mini vacay. He's a manager and got called to cover his store late the first night of our trip. It was a three hour drive and needless to say this was an unexpected drive and he was tired. He fell asleep at the wheel and i got the the call every wife dreads at two in the morning. Luckily he only suffered minor injuries and a concussion and after several follow up apppintments he's as good as gold. My car sadly was totaled. It cost me 7 grand to finance my replacement car after my insurance covered their end. I got my new car last month and we were finally getting back on track. Well last friday my new car got stolen right out of my own parking lot. We are so drained in every aspect of the word. However, i found a ray of light! My car dealership is offering an essay contest to win a new car. We had planned on replacing his car after the wedding but now can't due to our unforseen expenses (sometimes his car acts up and won't even start when it gets too cold). People can vote for us once a day until the 11th of december. So, if you'd like to help us, i am providing the link to our submission. Thank you all you wonderful ladies and gents and i will keep you in my prayers as well. Http://familyhelpingfamily.com/2011/11/chris-m-2/

I just wanted to get Janine's Blue Starfish back on the radar.  Right now the little guy is in Cancun at Dreams with Peterpadpixiedust.  The rest of the list of ladies is below.  I am the last on the list after which time the blue guy will have served his 1-year tour of duty and will be heading back to his owner.  Can the rest of the ladies on the list just check in here on the thread to make sure we are all still active and are planning on participating?  THANKS!

  11. Congrats newbie!  I don't know if you know this but I saw you get engaged after my destination wedding at Dreams Cancun.  I'm not sure, but I think you and your boyfriend might have crashed our wedding also, because you guys are all over the video and our pictures.  LOL!  But seriously!  Hey girl!  I love that you were at our wedding and now BDW is your new addiction.... yay!  I hear if you want the most bang for you buck you stay away from Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, and Tahiti.... just a thought.  Tulum should have awesome deals tho!  Like I said before, let me know if you want any of my stuff (centerpieces, chair sashes, not my Swarovski flutes... or as you say  Savorski!  LOL)..  Miss you crazy kids!

  12. Hi ladies,

I babysit for a girl who is moving across the country.  They have to leave their house unsold and continue to pay mortgage while renting a place in their new home.  She's trying to make her packing lighter and possible make a come across some funds in the process.  I offered to put her items up for sale here.  If you are interested, pm me and if you choose to buy, I'll send you her pay pal.

There are three dresses, two of them are formal and only worn a couple of times (may work for bridesmaid dresses or mother of the bride).  The other dress is a flowy little number that is brand new with tags.

Both the formal dresses show very slight markings that will probably go away with dry cleaning.  They are not in very obvious spots either.  These are the black and red dresses. The black on has a brooch that has one stone discolored.  Very hard to see, and I took a close up and it's on the left side, second stone from the big center one.   Both are size four.  She is asking for $75 obo for the black and $60 obo for the red (half the price she paid).

The flowy pink dress is a size 14 by Ashley Stuart.  It was intended as a gift but she never got to travel to give the gift (friend lives overseas).  As I stated previously, it's brand new with tags and was purchased for $50.  She's asking $40 obo. This one would be a cute honeymoon dress!

I will add pics in a few because it's not letting me right now, any advice... the "add photos" isn't click able.  If you are interested before pics  come, pm me and I'll email them to you.  Also, I'm sure the prices are easily negotiable!

  16. I hired some resort photographers at the end of my stay for a back up trash the dress (a storm invaded our original).  and Antonio did my pics.  There is also a Daniel, and two others that I met (one boy and one girl).  I must say, Antonio did a great job, even with all the scared talk of switching photographers.  I still love Juan tho.

My highlight is up.  By Mike Cantarell of Cancunweddingvideos.com (he used to be, and still should be IMO Dreams' videographer).  Review will come... i promise, but no time as of now... Apartment move, 2 at home receptions, applying for jobs, work, blah blah blah

p.s.  for those of you who know the story, the elusive starfish makes his appearance on here, along with mine

    lol

    I'd love feedback

  17. I got the ultimate.  But I used the videographer they had then but he works on his own.  He had his own prices for the extras.  Dreams has their own corporate videographer now so I don't know what the upgrades are anymore.   I just added another hour ($250, but he gave me two), blue ray ($300), and a highlight video ($350).

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she lets us trade out some things, but definitely bugeting to pay for every little thing! I can't wait to read your review!
