There isn't a lot of additions! Everyone has been waiting for this and there aren't a lot of options at all. And most of them are so expensive! My wedding isn't until December, so I have time to wait for the floral catalog. But if it's anything like the finishing touches catalog, I'll end up buying a fake one instead too! haha.

Thanks for all the info so far! Is grande ocho rios wheelchair accessible? I know it's a lot of walking, but my TA said Sandals offers wheelchairs. But that won't really work if there's a ton of stairs?

Right now we are booked at grande ocho rios. But I've been researching whitehouse and it looks beautiful! The beaches look a lot better, the ceremony sites look better, and I like that the resort is smaller. (I will have a couple elderly people with me.) Now I'm second guessing myself! I've heard there are more activities and things to do at the grande though? UGH! Anyone know the key differences between the two to help me decide? Thanks!

Has anyone been to one of these? Our wedding is on a Friday, and I've heard that is their "beach party" day. Is there food there? What is the entertainment like? We are thinking of doing the one hour cocktail reception, and then all attending the beach party together after? Our wedding is also on new years eve...I wonder if they do anything special for that?

Neither of us have ever been to Jamaica, so I'm a little nervous about having my friends and family go to a place I've never been...but I figure Sandals is a pretty well known/popular brand, so that's one of the reasons I picked them. Hi Everyone! My name is Danielle and I am getting married on 12/31/10 at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios. Right now, all I have booked is the wedding day and time (4pm.) I haven't had any contact with my WC yet (I'm assuming because the wedding is still 11 months away...) But I do have a couple questions. My main question is about dinner. We will have about 15 guests? And I was only planning on the one hour reception, and then have us all go have dinner together at one of the resturants. I've heard this is possible, then I've heard the resturants can't get group seating for that many people. Which is the case? I don't want to pay $75 for a dinner when all the food is included anyway! But then again, I want my guests & I to all have dinner together. Another question is, when do they take pictures? Does the one hour reception dinner start right after the ceremony? So will we miss most of it because we are taking pictures? Or will they start it once we are done? I'm sure I will have tons more questions later, but these are the two on my mind right now...
