Well I sure am glad I looked this up on the site.  I saw the Nutrisystem deal at Cosco as well and I told my FI that if my dad decides to pay for the wedding I was going to try it ( I  need a little push to lose the rest of my baby weight).  Now I am going to think twice for sure.

The ladies that were talking about Quinoa have you tried the Quinoa tacos soooo delicious and healthy.

I am in a very similar situation.  My MOH and her husband have not booked yet either.  They had a baby recently and she isn't making any money on Mat leave because she is self employed.  I text her pretty much everyday with prices for the trip whenever they are below 1500/person because that is the cap that her husband put on it.  She just went to Nova Scotia for a last minute trip with her son to visit her family and my wedding is 3 weeks away on Feb 17th.  I told her that I understand if they can't make it and to tell me if they can't because I would also need to make other arrangments but she still insists that they will be able to go and that it is her husband that is holding her back.  It really frustrates me because the prices now are above 1500/person more like 1600+ and they were as low as 1200 when my FI and I booked our trip.  Anyways you just need to straight out tell her that you understand its difficult and that you will understand if she can't make it. I have tried this and she still insists they are going but with 3 weeks left I'm having very little comfort in that.

I got my dress at Davids Bridal in Michigan and I loved the experiance the sales lady was fantastic.  The only issue I had was the garment bag as since ripped and had a difficult time finding another one to put my dress in.  I called every bridal store in toronto and none of them were willing to sell me a garment bag for my dress since I didn't purchase my dress from them.  I think everywhere you go has good and bad qualities to it

My wedding is 17/2/11 and I haven't heard from my wedding coordinator either I've sent a couple emails to her in the last week or two and haven't heard anything back yet.  I'm not super worried because I know you handle everything once you get there. They are very very busy ladies so I wouldn't worry to much

Ya Yessica is who I've been in contact with since Sharon left but I haven't heard from her in months and I haven't been assigned an official coordinator yet.

Any ladies with Weddings coming up in the next month have you had any issues getting emails from your wedding coordinator.  My wedding is Feb 17th and I haven't been assigned a coordinator and I've sent a couple emails in the last 2 weeks with some questions and have yet to hear back from anyone.  What is everyones current response time ?

Well ladies I know I'm not of the forum very often but we are finally in the home stretch I believe it is 41 days away.  I have everything sorted except MUSIC.  I have no idea what to do about the music situation.  I was hoping to just download it all but all the free download sites seem to have disappeared and I don't feel like paying 80 + dollars in downloading all the tunes I was hoping to have.  What have you ladies down with regards to music ??

Did she just email you out of the blue and assign a wedding coordinator to you ? I'm getting married on Feb 17th and I haven't heard from anyone at dreams in awhile (although I haven't had a reason to email them in awhile either). What is your date ?

You are arriving the day i get married Feb 17th.  We will be there from the 13-20 cannot wait it is coming up so quick

We got our lanters from the paper lantern store and we ordered 27 12 inch lanters in 4 different colors each lantern was $1.19 (roughly)  I had to have the lanterns shipped to my fiancee's parents who live in the states though because they don't ship to Canada. We got the lights for the lanterns from aqua jems and they ship to canada.
I don't remember if I saw any stores that shipped lanterns to Canada but if I can come up with any I will let you know.

Finally pictures of lanters on the bordeaux.  I am getting married down there on Feb 17th, 2011 and am putting up some paper lanters but had never seen pictures until now.  Did you bring your own string to hang them or did they have that stuff there ?

sooo there is a lot going on and we've been kind of extremely busy since october.

I will write my review in a few days and even though we had an AMAZING experience during our wedding, I have a few points that I would like to point out for all of you regarding dreams and their "service". It was a great experience but not excellent (I am a wedding coordinator so you could only imagine how detailed oriented I am!!!!)

I Did my 1hr stroller fit class today and it burned...

You arrive at Dreams the day after I get Married.  We will be there from the 13th-20th I am soo excited we have booked our trip along with 13 other guests that includes both sets of parents and some aunts and uncles and cousins from my side. I am still waiting on the friends though even though I text them everyday with the resort prices and none of them booked when prices were way down. They were at 1200 at one point and that is including taxes and now are back up tp 1500 including taxes.  Oo well no one ever listens to me.

 

I have my dress as well it came in in July and I have only tried it on once since getting it in and it still fit perfectly although I am hoping to shed the rest of my baby weight before the wedding. My mom has been busy busy busy helping work on my OTT bags we have all the stuff for them we just have to put them together.

 

The only remaining task I really have is to order the lanterns and fans and I am good to go.

But I do need to find new shoes for my dress which sucks because I really loved the heels that I bought, they're only a 3 1/2 inch heel but my dress is too short with them on The search is on for a pair of 2 1/2'' fuchsia pink shoe

 

I've also started to get our OOT bags together. so far I've bought the bags, float mats, mini first aid kits, and hand sanitizers. I'll be ordering my mugs probably next month!

I have been searching Etsy for a hair flower and a tutu dress for my little girl but have yet to decide on the one I like the best.  Any ladies have any good feed back from etsy vendors ?

Good Afternoon Ladies,

I am so excited I officially have 11 guests book for our Feb 17 2011 wedding.  As far as planning goes I really haven't been doing much of that I think the only thing I really have to do is get the lanterns for the reception site and we are all good on the decorations.  OTT Bag loot is all picked up just have to make the design for the bag and send off to my aunt to do.

I was wondering to all the brides who just got married where is the reviews ladies ? There are very few reviews on Dreams Punta Cana and I would like to hear a little more about the resort
