Hi everyone, I had a look at prices from Vancouver to Jamaica 1 week AI at Iberostar Beach and it is about $1600 pp + tax (approx $1800 total), my TA's (I currently have 3) are giving me quotes of $2200

Does anyone else find when looking at prices in advance their TA's quotes are a bit high??

Hi Catalyst, I tried to contact the Suites WC for weeks with no response- I have heard other brides have had this problem too. I think many of them were just calling her using Skype.

The WC from the Beach is great- her name is Latoya her email is [email protected], she responsed within 1-2 days but only re: Iberostar Beach Hotel

They are super cute! Vistaprint has some great deals for their stuff. The frequently have 50% sales and I am making some STD magnets which will only come to about $50 for 50. Can't decide if I should just throw them in an envelope or add a letter. Most of my family/friends already know about the wedding anyways but there is some family from Toronto that may not know yet so I'm not sure??

Hi everyone, I'm trying to decide between 2 hotels in Jamaica both from the same hotel chain Iberostar. One is mroe expensive $2000 pp with flight, hotel, ect for 7 nights and the lower end one is $1600pp

The main differences are the # A La Cartes (6 vs 3), the rooms (all are suites vs regular rooms) and age (1 year vs 10 years) and with the more expensive one you can visit the other for free. I have guests ranging for 50+ (who travel every year so $ isn't an issue) and 25-30yrs where $ is more tight. I want the more expensive one just not sure if this will work for everyone?

I know my friends can stay at the lower end one but I am trying to keep the group together! What should I do??

Hi everyone, I'm Jenn and I am planning a wedding for Jan/Feb 2011. I am trying to decide between the 'Beach' and the 'Suites', both seem beautiful! Any comments to why you choose one of the other?? I have a group likely 30-50 people which will be about half adults 50+ and half our friends 25-30, my sister (MOH) is bringing her 2 kids though 6months, and 3.

Is you book flowers with Grande Garden do they deliever them to the wedding?

Also for the receptions does anyone know if you can extend the time allowed to later e.g. midnight for dancing Do you have the option at both 'Beach' and 'Suites' to have round and rectangular tables?

How did you decide on IB Beach rather than Suites?

Hey ToriWedd, do you have any info for the Riu tropical bay for receptions? Also do you have photos of the possible wedding locations?? Do you get a group rate for having so many guests booked?

Thanks for you message Troy'sbride, I finally got the menu package...thanks again Tanya, and I noticed the prices are 'a la carte' e.g. separate prices for location, food, set up, alcohol. Did the $45 pp you got from the WC include everything? Or was that just the food cost? I need to know if I have some bargaining power, I may have 40 guests+

Good call on the AI choice but did you find you had less options at the 'A La Carte' restaurants with the 'Standard' package? Can you go to one of these each night or is it limited?

Thanks for the message, the response I got from the WC was that it was $45pp for a reception dinner. I'm still in the planning process and not 100% if this is my final choice based on cost. I'm not sure if $45 includes alcohol, setup, etc.What kind of pricing were you given? Do you have the menus/ package lists for receptions? Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone, I am glad to find thris thread. I read through everyone's posts and now I am considering this resort for my wedding which will be in Jan 2011. My biggest concern is the costs as I would likely have like 50 people coming and I heard the reception is $45 pp. Does this include all the table set up/location/service (I'm thinking the pool area looks nice)?? Is there an extra fee for alcohol? I talked to the WC last week to get some pricing info and she said it was $150 charge for outside vendors such as the photographer, not $450 I also really like the Aqua-duct location but it is also very expensive! Do I have to arrange transport for the guests? Could someone please send me any package/pricing info they have [email protected]. Thank you in advance!!

Do I have to get a different AI package for my guests to get all the food choices at the restaurants? Can they go to the A-La-Cartes all the time? Or is there a limit?

Has anyone had their wedding at Moon Dance Cliffs? I am looking into it as a possibility but I'm still not sure. Are you able to swim off the cliffs? Is there many places for photos? Do you have to pay extra for any/all decorations?

Newly engaged and excited! I have started looking already at locations for January/February 2011. I am looking at Jamaica as I heard the beaches are amazing the food is awesome and the people are very nice. It is also easier to get to than other destinations from Vancouver, Canada. Any thoughts re: a private beach wedding?
