As others have said the place is great, I hope to shoot there soon. I am very familiar with the location, my family has a home in town there.
Best wishes! -

what are the dates you are looking at, I may perhaps already be down to the area.

Congrats!
I did a site visit there a few months back and found it to be very nice.
Our family has a home right down the street and I am looking forward to shooting many more weddings at the resorts surrounding Puerto Morelos.

I have a Bose Soundock and while it has great sound and is a packable size it may not be enough to "fill" the space depending on the location. But if you are looking for some great quality sound in a small portable package I think it is probably you best bet. Very easy to use, just set you iPod/iPhone on and crank it up.

Not from Cozumel, but I'd be happy to help.

That song is amazing and I hope and pray that my Emma will let me have that one at her wedding in 20+ years. I first heard it while watching a kids movie with her, it was part of the soundtrack. She used to let me dance with her, my wife would tear up watching us dance around the kitchen while it played.

Does that mean I delievered take-your-breath-away pictures? You have certainly express your happiness with the pictures, but that is a phase I'd be happy to be attached to.
Of course if you didn't mean that, then I am kinda set my self up here :0. -

I am one of those photographers trying to break into the specific area around Puerto Morelos. I am a full time photographer for the past 6 years and shoot 25+ weddings a year. I have a handful of DWs and hope to do more soon.
While I am "working with" my first few clients on pricing, I am also sensitive to my peers in the area and those coming down to do the same work. There is no point in undercutting the locals and having them not happy with us. With that in mind I have taken the time to meet with one local team while down on vacation. I think communication among peers is important. I want to have someone I can possibly turn to in the event of an emergency. We are guests on their turf and should act accordingly.
While I enjoy coming down to paradise to do what I love to do, I am also a full time photographer and traveling for weddings is still work. I also think it is important to be legit with the authorities and the resorts. I have heard of plenty of photographers that fly under the radar as another "guest". That may work almost every time, but I'd hate to see what happens if something goes wrong. I listened to my peers and took the time to get my FM3, it was very easy and worth the peace of mind for me and my clients.
My intention is to book in Mexico where my family has a home, during the slow season here in Cleveland, November to April.
Speaking of breaking into the area, I want to thank Wendy for giving me my first MX DW and I am looking forward to photographing Merideth's wedding in November.
Please excuse any perceived harsh tone or negativity, it is not intended at all. I LOVE what I get to do! I am just laying out my personal opinions. Sometimes tone can not come across in writing.
Congratulations and Best Wishes! I hope to get to work with more of you soon. -

Thank you again for booking me, I am looking forward to November!
I will likely be down a few days before and after if anyone else is interested during that week. -
Well it's probably good he had to leave that one behind, I love dogs but the one was sketchy for sure.

Random beach dogs, no way, I hired those dogs to be in the pictures for Wendy and Rod. Cause that's how I roll.

If Mayakoba is the one I am thinking of it has the most amazing entrance which is begging for a dramatic evening session. I hope to shoot there some day soon.
Best wishes.

I sent you a message, give me a call or contact form via my website. Looks like I will already be down for another wedding that week. -

LOL, I think I'm more excited to write my review of Andrew than I am about the resort! He's just that good of a guy.

Wow Wendy, thank you so much for the kind words. Right back at you and Rod. The two of you and your entire DW group were wonderful. It was so cool how we ran into each other on Friday night too. Any way here is the link to your proofs. I will get working on the album right away and I will also be adding those images from Friday night to the collection as well.
Congratulations to you and Rod!
Wendy and Rod -
You are welcome. I also am up for DWF renewal, but might let it slide this time.
Best wishes!
Andrew

Ohhhhhhh, thank you for the info on Puerto Morales! I really just wanted some maracas, especially for the kids. I had completely forgotten about that town! I was hoping to also get our photog to take some photos of us there for our TTD. Would you recommend it for that as well? I am looking forward to cruising around one day while there and taking in the small town flavor.
LOL! Go you!
