  1. Hi ladies! Does anyone have any info on weddings @ the Hilton-Bentley on South Beach? I'm thinking of getting married there next year and wanted to find out a bit more before booking. Thanks! :-) M
  2. Hi Driftaway, I wanted to say congratulations first of all!! Did you post any pics of the wedding or reception? I'm new to here so in case you did excuse the question. :-) I have chosen also to get married at our lady of fatima and am probably staying at the riu - i'm excited to contact the wc you used to see what the options are compared to the resort. I was wondering if there were any dress restrictions at this church? I have read that at some catholic churches they don't allow things such as sleeveless dresses (don't remember it this was DR or Mexico) and I really don't want to compromise on my backless dress! Thanks, Michelle
  3. Hi Sherryl, I was wondering if you had received any info since you posted this? I'm looking at getting married @ Riu and doing the actual wedding at Our Lady of Fatima and was thinking I could use the same coordinator from Riu or if it turned out to be too complicated ... I hope you were able to get accomodations for both! So, it looks like I would have to have two wedding coordinators, one for the ceremony and one for the dinner/reception at the Riu. I've since thought about maybe having just a general religious ceremony at the Riu (if they can do it) and just do the church wedding on another day with the people who are really keen on seeing me get married in the Church. It seems a bit much and just a little stressful but if anyone has any other ideas, I would be more than willing to listen!! Thanks!
  4. Hi ladies! I got engaged about 3 weeks ago and my fiance and I have decided on April 2011 but I still have to choose an exact date and location. I'm thinking of Riu in Ocho Rios, Jamaica but have to figure out if I can get to a Catholic church for the actual wedding ceremony and then back to the resort .... I'm going to look around to see if there's any info on this but if you have any knowledge about this please let me know!! Thanks and enjoying the forums already. Michelle
