Ipod vs hiring a DJ. I have heard mixed reviews about using the resorts dj services because of the culture and music differences. Dj mannia plays great music but I feel is expensive and I dont need all that extra equipment. Please if you know of any other dj services or better ideas fill me in.

Does any one else know if there are other dj services available beside the resort and dj mania? I like the idea of having a dj but i don't think i will need all the extras the dj mania offers.

ok so i know tiara has limited decorations but does anyone know if i need to bring down tulle to hang from the gazebo or if the resort offers that option....for some strange reason i haven't been able to get this question answered!

Maybride...I haven't decided what to do yet for party gifts either and I'm really struggling on ideas for my grooms gift! Any ideas would be great, he's not really a cuff link kinda guy! BTW: I finally received my translated paper work from WEDO (took about 2 weeks)

I just sent my paper work to WEDO last week, haven't heard anything from them yet. I was quoted $125.00 each from WEDO. I should hear back from them soon, and I'll let everyone know.

Thanks stacey I guess we will just have to wait lol, we are all flying into La Romana airport actually! everyone going down with us booked on their own, at this point I kinda wish we did have a TA to help out with these little things but o well.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else, I'm waiting for a response on two separate emails from about 2 weeks ago! Does anyone know if the resort offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport? About 98% of my guests are flying in and out on the same flight and I'm hoping we can make transportation to and from easy. Also Has anyone talked to Tiara about having guests in the same part of the hotel?

MayBride2010 , i believe that if you are renting out the SSG drinks are included, however if you want to have an hour cocktail party you have to pay per person. I think its more of the formality of the cocktail hour that you are paying for rather then the alcohol itself. Hope this helps!!!!!!!

Thanks Nadia huge relief! even my fiance is more relaxed! So what is everyone's plans on the legality of our situation?....anyone going through WEDO? or just making it legal at home? Getting very excited, Tiara confirmed our ceremony at the gazebo and reception at ssg!

Hi ladies, I was reading through all the FAQ's and one question said that the resort was in the process of setting up web cams for family and friends that couldn't attend. I'm just curious if anyone has heard whether or not La Romana has set this up. thanx
