I came across this yesterday and wrote it down. I cannot remember what site i found it on, but it's cute for an AHR.
Now they are back from their fun in the sun
and promised forever to live their lives as one
We invite you to celebrate the marriage of ___ and ___
and then the details...

Should I include "beach elegant" attire on the invitation? It's on the website, but i notice that people really don't read.

Love these. WE are exchanging our vows on a fresh water lagoon which goes into the sea... any ideas on creative phrasing for my invites?? please help~! It's the Yal-ku lagoon in Akumal.

I love the photo you used for your postcards! Adorable.

Marie Sam, did you give that map on your invites to Anna? Or did she design it for you?
I love it! I have a friend who will design my invites, but I love that map! If you have it I'd love not to have to recreate the wheel. Thanks!! Nicole

Aylee Bits :: Aylee on weddings, design, personal finance, travel, photography, the internet and more has the templates. you can download the basic for free, designed version for $10. I used her boarding pass template and it worked well.

I tried on the beach here in chicago last week, but the sand was horrible. ( i thought there was a way to "fake this" - I am also interested. Thanks! they are adorable. I may have to wait for the real thing.

What are you calling your AHR on your wedding website?
-
would you mind telling me what each cost? Also, did you have to glue them together yourself? I just saw this pockets site for the first time. yours look fabulous!

Here is my wedding website. I bought our domain name, then used the templates on weddingwindow.com. Marie Sam has been a huge help. She also was married in Akumal so I was able to copy some of her information for my site rather than starting from scratch. www.jasinandnicole.com *let me know if you have any suggestions on ways to make it better. ) I plan to add a family and friends page with more pics soon.

I never thought of buying note cards and printing on them. Great job. Darn, i just bought some inexpensive note cards at Michaels... the bright green - that would have worked.

can someone recommend a card stock for these passport invites?

I am interested in buying a dress for TTD session so that I can keep my own in good shape. If anyone has a pretty dress for an inexpensive price i am interested. (I am a size 6), ordered an 8 in my wedding gown. - Nicole

Ladies, OK. Getting hitched 5.29.10 in Akumal. So far I have done:
Dress ordered
STD's sent
Website created and 84 RSVPs received.
Villa & wedding site booked, and photographer booked. Oh, and engagement photos done.
That's it! I still have so much to do. I am waiting for my WC to respond with pricing on various elements. We are considering asking a friend to do the ceremony for us rather than a random person. Is anyone else doing this? And if so, do you have an outline to begin with? We don't know how the ceremony should go...
rings, bridesmaid and flower girl dress, grooms suit, welcome bags, favors, etc...??
I have no idea what sort of favor to have. My wedding is a lime theme... any ideas for guests favors?

I will definitely check out Blurb. Is it titled "Guest book" ?? And already mostly laid out for you?

What a great post. You DIY girls are Unbelievable. I love it.

this is a great thread. My FI is from TX, so we will shop for Guayabera shirts in San Antonio over Xmas for the Dads, BM, ring bearer and maybe my FI. Do you think it's ok for him to wear a suit and his brother just the Guayabera and pants?

Ok, I went out a bought a few things.. before seeing these most recent posts.. wow! I found a lime green (my color) makeup bag at Pier One Imports of all places. and I bought other small cute things to put inside. A matching luggage tag which i put on and inside it printed out label saying "Maid of Honor" etc. Inside i put little paper soaps, a cute change purse, compact mirror, small note tablet and a little fold up bag for grocery (or wet bathing suit!) ... I don't have a card yet and have not asked them yet. Still want to add something else really Mexican. Love the poem!!

We have 54 confirms and 40 others who "say" they are coming! Oh geez, I dont know where we are going to put all of these people, but i guess it will be a great party!

Diamondpooch, My wedding theme is limes and these are great to add to my inspiration photos,... just swap out lemons for limes. Love it! What are you doing for table numbers/favors??

I am creating a mock-up for my passport invites that my friend is going to design. I am thinking a small 8-pager. This is what my thought is, but I would really like to know how you ladies organized yours and what I should include?
Cover: Passport Logo
Inside Cover: Invitation wording (something clever)
Page 1: Passport photo with our names, wedding date and location, time, etc
Page 2: Information for Welcome fiesta
Page 3:
Page 4:
Cover 3 (inside back cover)
Cover 4: Back cover - wedding logo
*some options i think i would like to include are: Map of Akumal, List of area restaurants, Transportation information... .any other suggestions? The pages will be small, but I want to include the important stuff. I don't know why i am struggling with this so much.
Also, WHEN should I send them out? Our wedding is 5.29.10
thank you all in advance!!
Nicole
