  1. How do I find a Travel Agent? Here are the qualifications I would like one to have...but don't know how to find one - never used one! Cost to my guests is of utmost important to me so I'm looking to find someone who can help me keep the Air/Hotel cost for guests down! 1. Destination Wedding Experience, especially in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area 2. Relationship with Dreams Resorts 3. Great negotiating skills for group rates!!! 4. Relationship with Travel Companies (my brother in law used a travel agency that worked with Worry Free Travel, and they apparently chartered flights to mexico - this made our flights cheap!) 5. Ability to handle a group of 60-80 people, mainly from Dallas. Some in Atlanta. 6. From the Dallas Fort Worth area would be great Some info of what I'm looking for: 1. Getting Married May-July 2010 2. All-Inclusive 3. will be doing some traditional pakistani/indian ceremonies as well, so will need a conference room/area for multiple days I really apologize if something like this is out there already, if it is please let me know and Ill post there. Thanks so much everyone!!!!! Amber
  2. Lol Thanks Everyone - you are all so sweet! TammyB - you're right that would be a pain to get to the beach. I hear the beaches at Cabo are a bit rockier and not as nice? I was also concerned about being able to do water sports there - since the waves are rougher? It looks SO beautiful though. so many decisions!!! and it looks like I need to make them quick if I intend on getting married next summer!!
  3. Hi Everyone! My name is Amber. I'm from the Dallas Fort Worth Area. I have no idea when my wedding will be yet - sometime in between May-July 2010. I've been going crazy researching resorts - I hear this is the hardest part. I love this forum. I'm debating between Cabo - because I abosultey adore Lovers Beach. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF YOU CAN GET MARRIED ON LOVERS BEACH?? I cant find the answer to this! I also just attended my brother in laws wedding in Riviera Maya. It was at the Barcelo Maya Palace and it was absolutley beautiful!!! I highly recommend it to anyone. Great food, Great Drinks, Great Service, Great Resorrts, can accomodate large weddings (I think they had like 70 people). My next choice is Cancun/Riviera Maya area because its easier for my guests to get to and has so many resorts to choose from. My current obsession is the new Dreams Riviera Cancun....anyone have any info on this resort? I'm trying to find a travel agent! Okay so glad to be on here!!!!! Amber
