    Newbie!

Hi! My name is Kate, and I'm getting married in Los Cabos on August 24. This forum is so awesome! I found great info and I hope I can give you some hints from my experience organizing my wedding (do's and don'ts)! Thanks for such a great site, Tammy! Kate
  2. Hi Emme, Contact ETS Translations. The lady's name is Helen Martinez and she will ask you some questions to see what are your resort's requirements. She did that with me... I was so lost and she guided me to the right direction! Quote: Originally Posted by emme Wow...it's all so confusing!! Giovanni sounds like the best route to go. 3. For the translations, go to ETS Translations. The lady is awesome! She translated and notarized my and my fiance's birth certificates. The cost was pretty reasonable (90 each), and the translations look great! What I liked the most is that this lady actually guided me with the process. I asked her to translate my birth certificates and passports, and she suggested to contact my WC, as she thought my passports didn't need to be translated. And she was right! She was referred to me by my travel agency, and I know she's been translating for weddings in Mexico for a while. Contact this Helen lady, she's awesome! And... $75.00 for a stamp? That's a huge ripoff! I found rates from $35.00 to $50.00, but never heard about $75... well, I actually stopped looking for a notary, as the translator did everything for me... ) Quote: Originally Posted by aprilmay Wow, this thread has been AWESOME! One more thing: Does anyone else think notary publics are kind of a joke!? (And a huge ripoff?!) Seriously. $75 to put your "stamp" on ONE document!? Gimme a break!
