Are these for online purchases only or available in stores as well?

Not sure how you feel about this but my sister always said she'd do a birdcage veil (google it if you want to see pics) and she has shorter hair. It's very hollywood and chic! Not sure what your style is though. Or you could always get a diamond or rhinestone hair clip. Since the dress doesn't have a bunch of glitter I think a clip would bling it out perfect! The dress is gorgeous though and I think the birdcage would look super cute with it. Like something on a fashion runway

Mine is insured through my renters insurance which is Safeco. Make sure it covers diamond loss and also is covered in other countries or while traveling. For destination weddings that is a must!

Thanks Natalie79!
Dianep I would say to call or email until you get a checklist especially since you wedding is less than 3 months away! I got mine when I put my deposit down. The WC at the US company sent it to me. Who is it you're trying to contact? My WC is Angie. I don't think Kimberly is there any more.

Question for the brides that have gone through the process...
1) How do you pay for the balance of your wedding package? Is it paid for 45days before you get there via credit card or do you pay it once you get down there and that way they have a more accurate total?
I heard something about credit card companies charging fees for international charges so wasn't sure what was the best way to take care of it.
2) Did any of you ladies use cell phones while down there to keep in contact with your guests? How bad was the charges on your bills when you got back
Appreciate any info you can give!

I'm not sure if this is offered in other states but Texas offers a free 8 hour pre-marriage class and you get a certificate that is good for $60 off the price of the marriage license and also you don't have to wait the 72 hours to get your marriage license. I know it's not much but I'm in $ saving mode!
Candicemarie I see you're in DFW so you may check into it. We're going to the one in March at Brookhaven College

Hello all you DIY brides! I need some help. I thought I saw somewhere on the forum a bride talking about a 'Couples Itinerary' or a schedule for her guests so they would know where the couple was on their destination wedding for that whole weekend.
For instance, if they go to the beach at a certain time or which bar/restaurant to find them at over the weekend while everyone is at the resort. I figured it'd be helpful for the guests (and for the newly married couple) so everyone isn't trying to chase all over the resort to track us down.
I did a search and came up with nothing. Maybe I'm going crazy and/or I just dreamt this up. Anyone else ever heard of this?

Is anyone else doing a program or pamphlet that has the "couples itinerary" or "where to find the couple" for your guests to know about where you'll be hanging out and when, in case they want to catch up with you throughout the trip?
It seems I saw this somewhere on the forum, but I did a search every way I thought possible and couldn't find the bride who did it and had pics. I'm looking for a template maybe or pics to get ideas (i even seached in the DIY forum) so this is my last ditch effort.

My wedding is in October and the wedding coordinator told me they do 3 (maybe 4) and schedule them every 2 hours.

We are getting married 10-09-10 in Playa del Carmen
Ahh this time next year some of us will be married! It'll be here before we know it! Exciting stuff!!
I've sent the Save the Dates and will probably send the invites in the spring.

We're having our reception on the beach but having a dance floor set up that the DJ is providing. If you're having a DJ you may ask if they have something like that available. Or see if there is an outside company you could rent one from. I figured the beach would be a cool experience for everyone. What other time could your friends and family say they all danced at a beach party together. (I'm in central TX so that doesn't happen often for us lol)

I vote #2 as well. Love the yellow to brighten it up!

Does anyone else feel awkward about having a bridal shower?

I think in lieu of a bridal shower I think I'm going to have a PJ shower and just do a Pajama party with my girl friends and if they wanna bring comfy pj's for me then cool and if not that's cool too and we'll just hang out and have fun!
