The spa email I have is : [email protected] with the contact being Sorangel Ramos. We were sooo worried about the weather because we kept checking the internet and it said rain everyday...but it didn't turn out that way! They have strange weather down there. It either doesn't rain at all, or just a small shower that lasts 15 minutes or so. I hope you have a great wedding!!!

But everything is definitely worth it, I can vouch for that
  3. Majestic Colonial/HDC Photo/Pastor York Review Hi everyone! I finally have a few minutes to write a quick review of my wedding at the Majestic Colonial on Thursday April 8th, 2010. First of all, no one should be overly worried in advance. This hotel is fabulous and my wedding day went off without any problems. I had been in correspondence with Sandra for about a year and barely even had to email her during that year. We arrived there on Sunday night and got a note on Monday saying to meet with Sandra on Tuesday morning. Sandra was amazing…very sweet and organized. She had everything down that I had requested and we chose flowers, cake etc. I brought down chair sashes and lanterns for the reception and she took them then. Sandra definitely knows what she’s doing and will make your wedding day the best! I had emailed the Spa in advance and asked for hair appointments for myself and my two bridesmaids at 12 pm as well as makeup for me. I brought a picture for my hair and four hair extensions and the girl did my hair and makeup beautifully. Hair and makeup lasted the whole day all through the ceremony and pictures until I took it off after the disco that night. My bridesmaids loved their hair too. The girls don’t speak very much English but I was very impressed with their services. We chose the symbolic wedding at 3 pm and had Pastor York perform the ceremony. He was right on time and a very nice speaker. The ceremony flowed smoothly and everyone could hear and understand. They all commented how great the ceremony was…I can’t remember much of what he was saying as I was just too caught up in the moment lAfter the ceremony, we decided to do our dances in the gazebo. The sound guys moved the system and Sandra oversaw everything and it was perfect! I had chosen HDC Photography about a year ago upon the recommendation from Best Destination Wedding Forum and they definitely did not disappoint. I was upset about the extra $300 fee that was sprung upon me with three weeks to go until the wedding, but looking back upon this, the fee was still worth it to have HDC photograph our wedding. I had been corresponding via email with Arnaud Brichet and we ended up working out a deal that suited both of our needs for the extra outside photographer fee. Milan was our photographer and he was such an amazing guy. He arrived early and took pictures of us getting ready and stayed until the cake cutting late at night. Milan was enthusiastic and great to work with, never made us feel awkward and managed to get unbelievable pictures. My family and friends were all impressed with the quality of the pictures and I am so happy as for myself, photography was the most important part of the wedding. Milan also came back the next day on Friday and we did TTD on the beach and in the pool and it was a blast…I would highly recommend doing TTD for anyone out there considering it! Arnaud dropped off a USB key on Saturday and my husband and I picked the prints we wanted as well as prints for the photobook. We met with Arnaud on Sunday morning and he was back within 2 hours to give us our discs and the prints before we left for the airport. I have some of the pictures posted on my facebook and if anyone is using HDC and/or is curious to view their work, you can message me and I will add you. We had the free dinner at the Steakhouse and it ended up being chateaubriand and lobster tail with chicken caesar salad to start. The table was close to the other guests but we didn’t notice that much and the meal was so yummy! After dinner, we headed to the reception area at the Parrot Bar with our group of 21 people. The area was the perfect size for 20-30 people. Sandra had it decorated with my chair sashes and the lanterns and we had the cake moved there from the restaurant. We chose not to do the open bar and my sister’s fiancé just went a couple times to the lobby bar, tipped the guys and came back with a tray of drinks. We had brought down a Bose Ipod dock and played the music that way. There were three guys assigned to hang out at the Parrot Bar and they kept the wedding crashers away, haha. They were super fun and ended up dancing with us at the end of the night saying “one more song, one more song.†After that, we ended up at the disco. All in all, my day was beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Everyone from Sandra to the spa ladies to HDC photography to Pastor York…as well as all of the staff at the Majestic Colonial, I just can’t thank enough. I have amazing pictures to look back upon and whoever is getting married here in the future, definitely the best hotel to get married at in Punta Cana  If I can be of help to anyone out there, please feel free to message me.
