I'm from Saskatchewan, and I'll be getting married in January, 2010 at Bahia Tulum as well.
Jazmin (wedding planner) is wonderful to deal with.
One thing I haven't decided on is where to get my hair done. I've heard great things about Vida Salon in Playa Del Carmen. We have free long distance at work, so I actually called the salon a few days ago (they don't have a website or email contact) to get pricing from them.
Karla is the salon manager and she was going to try to email me their prices (which were quite reasonable, and she said they are actually in the process of lowering them). However, Karla and I have been unable to reach each other through email for some reason.
Vida Salon is owned by a fellow Canadian, from Lethbridge, Alberta.
When I get the salon pricing info, I'll post it in the general thread for mayan brides.
