  1. Hmm, Blacksred is right. Turks & Caicos is a BRITISH territory. The U.S. Virgin Islands are St.Johns, St.Lucia, and St.Thomas. Might want to check it out as the marriage requirements are different.
  2. We were watching the news today and I got nervous when I saw a brief story about the UK taking over the Turks & Caicos government due to corruption. Does anyone know what (if any) implications this has for visitors to the island? And, more importantly, to planning a wedding here?
  3. Definitely let me know how things go. I'm visiting in August so can't wait to see everything in person!
  4. I like the avatar as well. I was wondering where everyone got their wedding monograms from - or did you make them yourselves?
  5. Hi everyone! We just booked our wedding for May 1, 2010 at Villa Renaissance. We are planning on visiting the island at the end of August to finalize all of our selections for reception location, guests hotel, etc. We are working with Diane from Island Harmony (who has been great so far). Does anyone have advice on reception locations? Also, does anyone have tips on finding cheaper airfares/deals? I was also wondering if anyone had a welcome beach BBQ and, if so, how you felt about the experience? Any and all input is very welcome!! We are very excited, but are still learning the "ropes".
  6. Kristen Date: TBD Location: Playa del Carmen Would love any and all advice as we still have yet to pick a place to get married. We were looking at the Royal in Playa del Carmen, but I am discouraged about how slow they are to return my phone calls/emails. Any advice?
