Is the Gran Tortuga open? We were scheduled to have our dinner there last week and Jazmin e-mailed us that we were moved to Don Pablo's--WHICH was GREAT!! If yours is moved do not be worried..it is air-conditioned and very classy..white lines, silver platter service, BEAUTIFUL!! Will post pics soon

just back from Bahia for daughters wedding...the wedding was at the Tulum Gazebo-BEAUTIFUL-our dinner was switched last minute to Don Pablos--BEST THING THAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED--it is beautiful and the meal was the best i have had at the bahia in the 7 years we have been going and the presentation was first class... Had DJ BOB-he is worth EVERY PENNY! He made our reception!! Our photographer was Arrecife Studio--on facebook--He was PERFECT..I will post pics tomorrow--it was better than i could have imagined!

we are using DJ Bob--i can let you know how he did--we leave a month from today!! So far he has been great to work with....

Jen S--the top of your dress looks VERY similar to my daughters..not a tiny slinky dress..but one with beading.....so if they flew yours with no problem that makes me feel better....

Did you bring your bows for your guests chairs at the wedding or are they provided by the Bahia?

HAS ANYONE HAD THEIR DRESSED STEAMED AT THE BAHIA? My daughters dress is very full and will be folded over and over several times..so we will need to steam it....

Thank you for the response..I e-mailed the Bahia and they said they dame--DO NOT SHIP YOUR DRESS!! So we wont be shipping...looks like we are buying a seat on the plane for the dress!

Getting Dress to Mexico So my daughters dress has alot of tulle and it not huge-but not your typical slim wedding dress..how has everyone gotten their dress to the Bahia? I e-mailed American Airlines and they cannot be certain that they will have room in the closet--I do NOT want to ship it. I have heard terrible stories about that--so I was thinking of buying a seat on the plane to set the dress in..any suggestions?

Photographer Info--here is what the new photographer sent to me. I have sample photos if anyone would like to see them... We book you for the basic package (36 pictures for 540 dollars). DJ BOB--Just heard back from Jazmin and we can use him! There has been some question regarding bringing in an outside D.J. to the Bahia. Jazmin told me this morning that having DJ Bob would not be a problem...He has some GREAT reviews on here!! AND you can pay him thru paypal which is REALLY nice!!

Thanks for the great review! How did your guests get from the ceremony to the dinner and to the pool side reception? Also-which pool was the reception at and if they did not have the drinks you wanted at the pool side reception was it a problem to go to one of the bars? was there one close? thanks!

my daughters wedding is may 21, 2010 at the gazebo at 5 p.m. Jazmin has asked us which restaurant we would like to have the dinner following the ceremony..i have been to the bahia 5 times but have never eaten at either restaurant....has anyone eaten at these and how was the seating also which has the prettier view of the water? thanks!!

Hi Bird, My daughter is getting married at the Bahia may of 2010. Let me know if you have the wedding package list and if not i can e-mail it to you. we go to the bahia annnually and just love it.
